Re:coil for me too. It's so hard to find a creme product without cones!
Another vote for Re:coil! I'm LOVING this stuff for cool & drier weather!!
Discovered nc.com in 09/2003

2b~~fine texture~~normal porosity (except for highlights, which are high)~~normal elasticity~~medium density

Shampoo: Still use sulfates, but only on roots
Rinse out: Deva One C, JC Too Shea, Original Sprouts Deep Conditioner
Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

I'm going to have to give re:coil another try. I used it a few times and then gave it away. It just felt producty and useless no matter how little I used. I'm thinking now that I probably waited too long and should have used it while my hair was still sopping wet. Live and learn.......

Re:Coil's definitely a good one (though I too have experienced the producty gunky feel sometimes).

Boots Curling Cream is great.

I also love love love all the Curls creams. Spiral Curls Cream, Curl Souffle, Milkshake. Spiral Curls Cream has the best hold, Souffle is very thick and moisturizing, and Milkshake has very light hold giving a natural look.

The Curl Souffle is really tempting me from a ll the descriptions I've heard. I ordered some to try. My hair is very dry and this should work well I hope!

Here's another vote for re:coil. I keep trying new things and keep coming back to it.
2c; some 3a
Loving CO Bigelow Not Your Ordinary Condish, AG:recoil, and GF Curl-Shaping Spray Gel
Spiral Curls Cream - OH GOD, I love this stuff and I think it's CG friendly. It's actually a Holy Grail product for me - leaves me with great curl formation, no frizz, shine and leaves my hair soft. It seems to have just the right amount of hold too, definitely not crunchy but not like just putting conditioner in your hair either, I need some hold.

Wella Systems Professionals Hypercurl - Great hold (can get crunchy if you use too much), frizz control and curl formation. The only downside is it has 'cones and does not leave your hair as soft as some other products, but my hair ALWAYS looks great when I use it.
HG's: (I alternate)
DEP Sport Gel, B&A Gel, Aura Naturalle Gel
(gel from mid-length down only, all used over a leave in)

Method: Air dry 20 minutes, then blow dry for volume.

2/3 mix waves/curls - coarse, frizz prone, med. thick, porous, at-home color for gray, protein sensitive but I still need it sometimes, glycerin-sensitive (I think) in high humidity, NOT CG but like stuff w/o silicones and that rinses out clean, wash with regular S&C 2x a week.
Boots is my favorite. I like Re:coil too, but don't get as nice clumping.
Charles Worthington Curl Defining Cream. My hair is so thick and I need so little of it it's a wonder. My hair comes out so much more uniform. All of my hair is a more uniform defined 3C even in the back where it usually curls more like 4A. And plus with this product there is less poof after drying. When I was using Garnier Fructis Soft Curl cream not so long ago I used it as instructed on the web site but how my hair looked wet (which is how I like it to look) is never how it dried. When it dried my hair would always be so more voluminous and poofier which sacrificed the curl definition.
I am a 3c reformed product junkie thanks to the economy.

I lurk a lot, I change my hair color a lot. It's currently black and bsl when wet and beyond my shoulders still when dry.

Now I will stop procrastinating and get back to what I was supposed to be doing before I got on here.

Any questions?
I have never tried the RE:coil but I'm really loving Regis Curl Lock Cream.
