Do you have more pictures of that person? (She looks fab, btw, and your clumps are cool.)

It may be she doesn't have short hair. It could be she has layered long hair that is swept up and back and that what you're seeing is only the top layer with the swept hair giving that volume there?

Very hard to tell without more angles. Also, is your head a similar shape and your hair as dense? That gal's got a lot of hair and that density seems to be giving that "architecture". If her hair is short, then she has a ton of it and it seems to be angled...shorter in back, longer in front, like an inverted bob.

I suggest you take a pic of your head/hair from the SAME angle as this perso (is she a singer/actress/model?) and see the comparison that way. She's shot from a different angle than yours (you are straight from shot, her is from higher up with her head tilted down a bit so you see more crown.

But she's either got crazy density or her hair is pulled back and is the support for that volume. And if it's short, that's some really short bottom layers since there is no hair drop past her ears at any level, seems like.

Are you a stylist? If not, take the pic to a stylist and discuss how to get that look.

Thanks, Mir. It's Corinne Bailey Rae (singer). She has longer hair now. Mine is probably not as dense as hers. Mine is not thick. I'm thinking her hair is short and not pulled back based on other photos. I could be wrong. I'm not a stylist, but I cut my own hair. I can usually figure out how to cut mine like pics I see, but this one has me scratching my head. Oh well. Maybe I should just keep mine as is.
