Default is this a microfiber towel or not?

I picked up a turban towel at Linen's and Things called "Lucy's Locks." The label on the bag it came in did not spefically say it's made of microfiber, but the tag on the towel says "made by aquis." Does anyone know is this is microfiber?

Thank you!
Sherry

No, the Aquis Lucy Lock's towels are 100% cotton. The ones called "Mimi's Diva Dryer" are microfiber. (Who thinks of these names?!)

Linda,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I should have known that I couldn't get a microfiber towel so cheap! Actually, I'm sort of glad to find out that wasn't microfiber, because when I tried to use it to plop, my hair was a frizzy mess. Maybe there's hope for me if I use an actual microfiber towel.

I actually had a Mimi diva dryer towel in my shopping cart at amazon. You're right, the names are funny

Take care,
Sherry

I have two "microfiber" turbans.

One is the Aquis Micro Fiber Turban. It was a gift but I have found them in Bed, Bath, and Beyond for around $20.

I also have a Scunci Microfiber turban that was about $6 at K-Mart. This thing is nubby and nowhere near as smooth in feel as the more expensive Aquis.

Quite honestly I don't even think the Mimi's towel is as smooth as the Aquis and I think it's made by Aquis too.

Yeah, ya get what you pay for.

Bummer. I just picked this up for my cousin for Christmas. She loves to turban her hair but ruins her curls doing it with a heavy towel. So, this one isn't good? Should I return it then?

Hey, anything's better than a heavy towel! Besides, I think she meant it isn't as good as the aquis, not that it isn't good in general.

I often see Aquis towels in Marshall's/TJ Maxx for about $10.

Hi,

Thanks everyone! I think I have a 20% off coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond. I've also seen Aquis in Linens and Things.

Thank you, Suzen. I have TJ Maxx and Marshall's near me, so I'll try those places first.

Take care,
Sherry

That's what I was thinking after all. Thanks.

Yes, that's what I meant. I find the Aquis towel wicks the water out of your hair quicker and the fabric is stronger yet smoother.

I just got a discount coupon in the mail for BB&B and plan on using it to get another Aquis turban. Then I think the Scunci one will become a rag.
