New Photos Pre Devachan Cut

Hey gang!!

I just took some (really bad!) photos of my curls since there's been some growth, and I'm heading to Devachan in 2 weeks for a cut with Ana. It's actually becoming a nice little Christmas tradition, as this'll be 2 years in a row where I've used my X-Mas bonus on an Ana-cut!!!

But I used my slowly dwindling Body Shop Banana Conditioner. Which just gives me great great curls. Anyone have a replacement for this?????

Omg.. I need to take your curls and fuse them onto my head :D
Right now!

Aww, curlieglamourgirlie!! I sooo love your hair as you know! :)

I just love your curls, and those glasses are adorable. I can't wait to see the after pics :) Your hair looks very healthy!!

CGG -- have you tried another condish from The Body Shop? I just looked at their site and the ingredients in the Honey Conditioner look good, it has the A cone in it, so I'm not sure if the banana one had any cones or not -- the honey condish has the banana pulp in it. OH NO, nevermind, I just saw it has some kind of Dimethicone in it :( although I don't know if the "Phenyl" in front makes it any better!

Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Musa Sapentum 9Banana) Pulp, Glyceryl Stearate, Amodimethicone, Bertothelia Excelsa (Brazil) Nut Oil, Ceteareth-20, Glycerin, Steartrimonium Methosulfate, Lanolin, Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Phenethyl Dimethicone, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isopropyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Prpopylparaben, Bertholletia Excelsa (Brazil Nut) Amino Acids, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trideceth-12, Wheat Amino Acids, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate.

The Olive Glossing has only the A-cone:
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Ceteareth-20, Steartrimonium Methosulfate, Benzyl Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Honey, Isopropyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Wheat Amino Acids, Sodium Chloride, Olea Europea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trideceth-12, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate

Your curls always look so healthy and beautiful! :) I look forward to the after pics, although your hair already looks great!

Awwww shucks! You guys are the best. This is 2 years of growth, actually less....I was done with the chemo in December and the hair started growing back in late Feb/early March.

But I'm so loving it right now - I do need a trim though, so I can't wait to see Ana!

Your curls are adorable! Your hair is so shiny and healthy looking! Can't wait to see the post haircut pics.

 The last time I saw pictures of your hair it was so much shorter! That's some amazing hair growth you've had there!!! Your curls have grown in prettier than I could have possibly imagined. You have healthy, perfectly defined curls. Wow woman, you can really tell that you've been good to your curls. Keep up the great work! :D

SapphireWingstar 12-10-2006 09:27 PM

Wow, gorgeous curls!!! :D

What other products do you use, btw, besides the Body Shop Banana Conish?

Eilonwy 12-10-2006 09:35 PM

Your hair looks great! But I have to wonder, are your glasses Anne Klein? I noticed in the pictures of you in profile that our glasses have the same layers (tan, brown, blue), although mine look much lighter from the front. The styles are very different, other than that. But I couldn't help but notice it!

CurlieGlamourGirlie 12-11-2006 05:50 AM

Thanks guys!! I've been totally CG since the hair came back, so I've been really good to it. (Or have tried to be!)

Sapphire (holy moley - I just saw your pics - we might be hair twins!!!) - I use a few things:

CO Wash - Suave Milk and Honey, Suave Berry Smoothie or very very very occasionally, Paves No-Sulfates Allowed Wash

Condish - Back to Basics Pommegranate Peach (my HG!), Nature's Gate Herbal Conditioner (a recent amazing find), Sally's Generic version of Nexxus Hummectrus. Occasionally I'll use Jessicurl's Weekly DT as my condish and just leave it in all day.

Styling - I put in a tiny bit of the BtB before getting out of the shower. Then Aussie Dual Personality Mousse/Volumizer (no butanes!) and finish with Suave Aloe Vera Gel.

I'm all about inexpensive product that's CG.

Thanks for all the compliments!!

CGG, have you tried the reformulated Pomegranate peach conditioner? How does it compare? I use it occassionally and I like it.

I really found no difference between the old and new formulas. I don't think there's too much of a difference in ingredients if I'm not mistaken. Maybe later I'll post the old ingredients from my huge gallon bottle I have.

CGG since your post I have tried the new pomegranate peach conditioner for the past few days and I love it -- I do notice less frizz with it and the tangles really melt away. Thanks for turning me on to this!

hockeymomof3 12-26-2006 02:59 PM

DP-sorry

Hooray!! I'm so glad you like it! My hair still seems to be recovering from last week's cut. I don't know why it's taking so long. I can't tell if it's overconditioned or just dry now. Grrrrrr.

hockeymomof3 12-26-2006 07:14 PM

I'm sure it will cooperate with you soon! Hang in there, maybe do an ACV rinse or something to see if that helps? I've been thinking I need to do one of those myself.
