Default Newbie Uncertainty

Hello ladies!

I started doing the no-shampoo routine yesterday--problem is I used the wrong conditioner. It has a cone in it. So what I did was clense my hair with the lemonaid routine w/ a VO5 con. Did I do the right thing?

I went shopping today--after hours of researching products--I bought some drugstore products that seem popular here. I'm only uncertain about the 2 conditioners that I bought. Can you let me know if they are cg friendly?

I read somewhere that White Rain Lavender Vanilla is no-cone. I also got VO5 Tea Therapy--which I read somewhere is Sulfate, Protein, and silicone-free. I was thinking of using that as my co-wash. These are just to tide me over until my order of Jessicurl Too Shea! Extra Moisturizing Conditioner comes in. I also got Re:coil.

For styling products, I got HE Totally Twisted, L'Oreal Out of Bed Instant Texture, and GF Curl & Shine Leave-In. Let me tell you! It was a heck of a shopping trip! I couldn't make my mind up what exactly to get and I was practically cross-eyed reading the ingredients. I've tried avoiding posting questions unless I can't find them by searching--so I hope no one would get annoyed answering this one!

I feel like I'm missing something. Do you have any other product recommendations? I don't want to go over-board but..

I need a sulfate to get out a real bad cone but if your hair bounced back from it then I wouldn't worry. If you get frizz or your hair goes straighter and straigher and your conditioner seems to grease up on top of your hair then the cone might still be there.

It looks like you have the products covered, that's a good start!

If you find that the Totally Twisted gel doesn't have enough hold for you, try one of the other HE gels. Body Envy and Set Me Up both have stronger hold.

Good choices on the products! You've been studying hard, I see!

Another "thumbs up", sounds like you are grasping the concepts pretty well!
