Talking Deva Cut pics!

Before (Friday, Oct 22nd):

Before (Saturday, Oct 23rd):
She had played around with my curls a bit before she took this picture

After (still wet):

~ Note the Deva training certificate on the wall.

And DRY (don't mind my crazy little boy - LOL):

I can tell now that it's dry, the cut is MUCH better than what it was before. The back is a lot curlier than it has been the past few weeks. I think my curls are a little in shock. But, they're not as much in shock as they are when they're cut wet. So, I'm hoping the adjustment time will be less this time.

I like it!

Okay. Truly. Unless it is the angle of the camera, it really changed the shape of your face!! I LOVE how it is lighter (not color, lighter as in not as heavy) around your face. Mine is still too much "all one length" looking to me. I may take your after pic to my stylist next.
Very successful!! It is just beautiful!

Was the cut done how I described?

Looks great! I love how your hair looks lighter and curlier.

I've been wanting to get my hair cut but way to afraid, it's taken me 3 years to grow it out to this length.

Thank you both! I really like it - it feels lighter, too. It's funny, she didn't take much off the length at all - yet, it curled up so much more, it actually LOOKS like she took quite a bit off!

OH - Elaina, I know that issue. I had the same struggle. But, honestly, I struggled so much with my curls that this was WELL worth it. You'll do it when you're ready.

Cut pic with your son. I love the back shot in your sig! Your curls look beautiful. Do you have a lot of layers in the back now, to get those curls so perfectly formed?

Wow, that's a super cut. It looks beautiful! I especially like the bang part.

Thanks! Yes. That was one of the main reasons I went for a cut. The sides curled fine before the cut. But, the canopy and halfway down the back were weighed down and weren't curling (it was driving me crazy). My hair is pretty heavy and I have a LOT of it. So, if the cut is overgrown (or just BAD as the case was for me), it weighs down the curls badly. I'm loving the curl in the back!

curry ~ the bang part is part of what was a bad cut back in August. We're trying to let it grow to match up with the rest of the canopy. In the meantime, I'm trying NOT to straighten them and, rather, let them blend in so the choppiness isn't so noticeable. lol

You can get a Deva cut and still maintain the length. They'll snip off the dead ends, but that's what I love about the diva cuts. I don't have to take any off the length to lighten up the weight of my hair.

Racer - I love the back of your hair. I struggle with getting good curls in the back. I really can't rake and scrunch, so getting the back layers has always been more difficult. But yours looks fantastic. Light and fun!

Thumbs up

Wow, it looks great! I really like the bangs all natural and curly. The cut and new curly bangs really flatter you and give you a youthful and fun look!

I'm not sure what the prices are elsewhere. But, where I went it was $45 - actually a lot LESS than I expected. So, obviously, I was happy with that.

Thanks, everyone! I like it. I just can't wait for it to calm down a bit.
