anyone have "backup" cheaper products they use?

I just posted that I tried the Jessicurl line and I'm thrilled with the results. Unfortunately, my budget won't stretch enough to use the products every day. Does anyone "mix" using their favorite expensive products with drugstore brands? I'm thinking of using Nature's Gate Jojoba for a cheaper conditioner, and Aussie Tizz no Frizz for styling a few days week so my Jessicurl stuff will last longer.

Which makes a bigger difference in the way your hair comes out-the cleansers/conditioners or the styling products?

Any other budgeting ideas for haircare when your favorite products are pricey? (I know there are way more expensive products than Jessicurl, but I'm used to spending way less)

Thanks!
Sherry
I've been experimenting with Beauty Without Cruelty Daily Benefits conditioner -- it really reminds me of Deva One C without the cone -- my hair is frizzless and curls great and plus it feels like it rinses out so easily, I love it...it may just become a HG! It's CG, hardly any fragrance to get in the way...it's nice and creamy...16 oz. for about $7...can't beat it.

Cowash - No Poo, Suave Coconut
Conditioner - One Condition
Leave In - KCKT
Gel - KCCC at the moment
My hair absolutely loves v05 tea therapy, as it has great slip and helps tremendously with clumping, so I trade it off every other day with EMB condish.

What did you like that the Jessicurl products gave you? There are different aspects you can find in different products.
