Curlkeeper make anyone else's hair crunchy?
I bought some curlkeeper because It seemed very poplular but I'm not having luck with it. I used it one night by itself and had semi-crunchy hair then the next night I used it with Re:coil and horribly crunchy hair. I hate that look.
Does anyone else have this problem with curlkeeper?

Everything makes my hair crunchy. Have you tried scrunching it out when dry?

Yep and I scrunched and scrunched and scrunched!! Nothing took out the crunch. It even looked super greasy and wet but It wasn't.

Hmmm, CK does give a lot of shine, and some people get a "fake-shine" from it that they don't like. How much did you use?

2 or 3 quarter size amounts? Too much?

That's about what I used. This may not be the season for it. I loved CK in the summer, but I've cut it out completely for the winter. If you can't get it to work now, I would save it and try again in the summer. I don't really have any other advice, but hopefully someone else will chime in.

I don't get crunch, but I use much smaller amounts and never by itself. Try using less -- as if it were a serum.

I get crunch with it too. I just wait until it dries fully and scrunch it out. It does gives a freaky plastic shine. I live in a humid state so the humidity in the summer (that's when I use CK) will soften up CK

Thanks. I'll try again in the summer. I live in Georgia so it'll be super humid there.

Huh. As usual, I am the reverse of everyone! I like CK in the winter, especially when it's cool & dry & not humid at all. CK doesn't do much for me when it's humid. When it's dry & cool, it holds down frizz & works like a gel for me.
I usually use it over a leave-in, which eliminates some of the crunch. Also, if I use too much, my hair gets really limp and greasy-looking. I use a quarter-size blob or 2 for barely-shoulder length hair (when dry). It dries crunchy but I can usually work that out...also, wearing a winter hat seems to kill the crunch.

He is a Bouvier trying to pass himself off as a terrier!
He is often called: Wookie? Grizzly cub? Orangatang? (ok it's spelled wrong) Hairy sheep? Giant schnauzer?
All because I'm too cheap to pay a groomer & I can't do the professional bouvier hairstyle. Oh, and he is product-free in the photo!

I've been using CK between my leave in and my curl cream and I don't get any crunch or any freaky plasticy shine. I think it helps with frizz but I'm not entirely sure it's a must yet.

Castella, I guess its just my hair that doesn't like it. I use 2 or 3 little quarter size amounts and my hair is past my bra strap and its still makes my hair look greasy. I also use a leave in before it.
I have a liter of it. IS there anywhere I can sell this?

Have you tried using it under a gel instead of Re:coil?
I thought I'd have to change to a cream again this winter but I've been having tons of luck with a lot of CK (5 or 6 puddles), smoothing it on soaking soaking soaking wet hair upside down and then scrunching in my gel first to my crown and then more everywhere else. Then I scrunch about 30 times! Clip, squeeze out water, and either air or diffuse dry.
Try once more, you never know!

Yeah, I tried with HETT gel last night and got the same thing. I always apply curl keeper in the shower to soaking wet hair. I don't like to scrunch though because it makes my hair too curly I don't know how else to try it.
