Do you get bored with your curls?
I think I'm going through a mid-curl crisis...I'm getting bored with my hair (curls and color) and am seriously considering going short and blonde again. I know I will love it but at the same time I will miss my curls.
Decisions, decisions...

Sometimes I bored. That's what makes me love my products so much. I have enough range in them that I can have looser some days, loopier some days, harder hold some days, real natural look other days, you get the picture.
I thought I was going to flip out and give in and henna my hair after someone recently did theirs but I hate the grow out so I resisted.
I would miss your curls too so I say whatever you do you keep those

I get very bored with my curls and that is why I am getting my hair cut this Saturday. I can only stand it for about a year and then I have to have a change. I look at it that it is only hair and it will grow back as my husband told me last night since I told him she could end up cutting it short. I say go for it. I think you would look FABULOUS.

I can't say that the curls themselves ever bore me, because they're never quite the same two days in a row. My hair in general might bore me at times... when it does I wait out a bit, and if the itch is still there I go for a cut or dye it.

I just started wearing my hair curly after being totally indifferent to my hair. I didn't know how to take care of curly hair, so basically I had a frizzy, undefined mess for years (ugh!) I had given up on trying to have nice hair. Thanks to this board, the curly girl book and makeupalley I have much nicer hair.
So, no I"m not sick of my curls since I just got them
I'm not interested in changing my hair color (too much maintenance and expense ) and I'm trying to grow my hair longer, so I am not looking for any changes.
I have enough "hair adventure " every day waiting to see how it will come out each morning.
Take care,
Sherry

Sometimes I get bored and frustrated. I get jealous at all the straight haired girls who can pick up some cheapo drugstore shampoo and that will be the extent of their hair products.
But then I realize, my curly hair is easier to take care of than my straightened hair.

Re: Do you get bored with your curls?
YES! I have a very low threshold for boredom too. I try to get a cut that I can wear more ways than one and vary the length from time to time. I am fortunate to have hair that can be allowed to dry into springy curls or dry braided (after diffusing) into waves. I also like to clip it up.
What I hate even more than repition though is dry damaged hair which I have had for so very long.

I can feel that way too. I got a shorter/more styled cut and now I have the part in different places and stuff to get some variation. The long hair made me very bored. I felt so dull looking. I like to be able to change things.

I feel exactly the same way! I'll go through spells where I am tempted to straighten, but then I'll remember the torture of yanking the brush through my hair, the hours spent blowdrying it and it still looking quite poofy and me in tears because it looks so bad. Just thinking about the horrors of my straightening days erase the boredom of my curly hair.

And it will all be ruined if one teeny tiny drop of water touches it.

I don't think I could.
When I used to straighten my hair, I never received compliments. It was only until I went "au natural" that people (strangers!) commented on how *nice* my hair looked.
My hair is just too unpredicatble to bore me.

My hair is totally unpredictable...I never know how it's going to turn out. I think it may also be the length I'm getting bored with. I've decided not to cut it short this time (I have an appointment Friday). Maybe when warmer weather rolls around. Instead I might try for a new color!

I get bored with my hair (and other things) all the time! I used to go through the worst cycle of growing out, getting sick of it, chopping it off, regretting it, growing out... you get the point. I've been pretty good about staying away from the scissors recently, and I'm really determined to grow it out this time. Instead of new cuts, I dye it every few months and blow dry it straight/wavy every once in a while.

I am always thinkin that I will go short again and straight but then I remind myself of the upkeep by straightening it and that usually does it for me lol

Yeah sometimes. But I don't have the patience to blow out my hair on my own, nor the money to go to a salon.
I wanted to dye it, but again, same as above...

You know me - make the change! Maybe not the length but color is so fun!
