Default Suave Captivating Curls Spray Gel

It's back! And it's CG! Might have been reformulated, does anyone have an old bottle to compare ingredients? I'm pretty sure my last bottle of the old stuff is long gone...

Suave: Professional Quality Products for the Entire Family

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), VP/VA Copolymer, PVP, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Fragrance (Parfum) , Aminomethyl Propanol, DMDM Hydantoin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylisothiazolinone

And I have to give Suave props for listing their product ingredients - most don't from my experience...

Have you tried this? I just bought it tonight. I noticed your sig before & I'm starting to wonder if we have similar hair properties by your stylers\products...

I still haven't found it in the store, although I haven't been trying that hard. When I do find it I will definitely pick up a bottle. My hair liked the old version!

I saw it at my local Giant (grocery store). I have not seen it anywhere else. This Giant has everything from salon brands to drugstore brands though (I never realized until today).

I'm looking forward to trying it. I like the fact there is no alcohol & minimal ingredients (compared to many products). Also when I sprayed it on my hands it had a nice sticky feel-which means hold. Sometimes with no alcohol products the hold factor is lost.

I shall post my thoughts after I use it tomorrow.

What exactly is it supposed to do for your hair?

Absolutely nothing! It's supposed to be a non alcohol spray gel. Seriously, I'm not sure what happened, but my hair was a frizzy mess at the end of the day & tomorrow isn't one of my wet down days. Now it is!

Not sure what's in this gel that my hair reacted so poorly to....

Sorry the spray gel didn't work for you. I noticed it has castor oil in it which doesn't seem to work well in my hair at all. I've been waiting for the new volumizing mousse to come out at my stores since it is now silicone free.

Oh that's good to know! I've been trying to use mousse again lately, since I remember liking the lighter feel & volume I get. My HETT isn't working as great as I remembered it (although love the smell), so I will definetly keep a lookout for the Suave.

I found the New Suave volumizing mousse today at Fry's ( Kroger ) and tried it today. It was looking good while I was diffusing...but when I sotc it left me with stringy almost greasy looking curls and waves. Yuck! I applied the same amount I use with other mousse but maybe it was too much with this one, it really expands in your hand!! Even more than Paul Mitchell sculpting foam! Not a go for me, I'll stick with my other cheapy Condition 3-in-1.
