Loving EVOO and KCKT right now! I was looking for some Shea to add to my LI since the dews dropped into the single digits...turns out, EVOO did the trick! Yay! I see GSO may be a warm weather winner, but EVOO is the biz in the colder months

I find this thread so intriguing... And yet it would never work for my long hair and looser curls! Though I WISH it would!

I need more hold, and could not get away with skipping product. You guys are lucky!!

Well I tried it again with GVPCB and the curls were full of body and shine. There was a bit of canopy frizz though.

condish styling has worked sooo great for me for so long, then suddenly it just stopped working my curls have gotten quiet a bit longer, so im thinking its either the winter, or that my curls have gotten longer thats the problem. i havent changed anything about my routine, it just doesnt seem to work any more.

had a lazy day today and decided to try conditioner-only styling. co-washed and conditioned with devacurl one condition and added deva heaven in hair on top. i can tell it will be a giant puffball in the morning but right now feels so soft and moisturized.

this is my hair after diffusing.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with CJCIAB. Im personally confused on whether its a conditioner, cream, gel, or what not. To me it sound light weight like it could be used for a condish style only. Just skeptical about spending the 19 if it doesnt work

I bought CJCIAB on the swap thread. I think it does help with curl definition but definitely doesn't have enough hold for me to use as a gel even tho that's what it's suppose to be. My hair is coarse and dense so it's heavy and requires a styling product with a lot of hold. To me it's similar to CHS CK. In my opinion if you have fine hair you might be able to use it on it's own but if it's coarse you will have to use a gel or mousse with a firm hold. You can always get a sample from kathymack. (I hope I got the name right)

I got a sample of CIAB from Kathymack and I found that I could use it as a styler with just a bit of LI underneath. I applied it in the shower first by smoothing then scrunching. I scrunched a bit more in when my
Hair was partly dry, like the smasters method, but I didn't diffuse. I think this gave a former hold, and actually helped with frizz, too! I used it as a finisher too. I didn't find it very moisturizing though. Hth

i always have ciab on hand but don't use it on a regular basis. it does work well, tho. i use it as a finisher, keeps frizz away and gives me shine, and there is some curl definition. and, i can use it on dry hair if i am having a bad day.

Anyone still using this method? If so, what are your favorite conditioners?

I haven't tried this in a while but will soon.

I never used a styler when I still flat ironed my hair (obviously), and now I'm wearing my hair naturally curly since the beginning of March and ever since I have used mousse or gel after every "rewetting" (which is like 2 or 3 times a week for me).
I'm willing to try conditioner only method, but I'm a bit scared that my waves (am 2cish) will appear straight without stylers and so on...

Do you still plop/diffuse when you do conditioner only?
And doesn't diffusing without mousse/gel disrupt your curls?
