Co-wash: TBS Rainforest Moisture Conditioner
RO: TBS Rainforest Moisture Conditioner, TBS Banana Conditioner
LI: TBS Banana conditioner, TBS Rainforest Moisture Butter
DT: Olive oil, Coconut Oil, TBS Rainforest Moisture butter
Styling: Organix Moroccan Styling Cream, TBS Cottonseed Curl Boost, Nature Republic Hair Gel

Why so many TBS in my list? Coz I live in a country where only TBS has english labels, wish I had access to more products!
Seriously???!?!?!?
After a lifetime I spending god-awful amounts of time, effort, and money trying to find the perfect styling products for my hair...I have found that ALL I need is Suave Naturals tropical coconut conditioner!!! As rinse out and leave in!!! I do need to use a more moisturizing rinse out a few times a week, but still!
I am thrilled!!! At least now I know!!!!

3a, s curly, fine hair that hates sulfates, silicones, and Proteins (except for keratin occasionally)!

I have finally found extremely affordable and attractive contentment using:
Daily- suave naturals coconut conditioner as was out and leave-in...this is seriously ALL I use!!!!
Occasionally (1-2 times/week)-
Shampoo- l'oreal eversleek reparative smoothing shampoo
Conditioners- GVP conditioning balm and Millcreek Botanicals jojoba conditioner
ACV
Aussie catch the wave mousse
Hair that freely borrows from 3a/ 3b texture schools. These are the things I use to care for it:
  • Apple Cider Vinegar rinses weekly
  • shampoos occasionally that do not contain sulfates
  • conditioners without silicones or proteins (or so I think- Keratin seems to do ok)
  • Flour sack towel
And I dont even know what else right now...thinking I may need to drop gels altogether...

Currently have Shea Moisture and DevaCurl products that I may just need to give up on and cut as a loss...
I CO wash then rinse then scrunch some more conditioner and just leave it in. It makes my hair curlier than when I just rinse it all out.
Well, I saw my post from awhile back about using the cream-gel, and I remember how I liked it, but it ran out
Now, I'm trying KCKT as my leave-in and styler, and I think it's alright, but my hair isn't dry yet. However, I also found Beautiful Curls Curl Enhancing Leave-in. Has anyone had success with that?

Thanks!

Cleanser: BRÖÖ Smoothing I.P.A. Shampoo
RO: Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner
LI: Kinky-Curly Knot Today
Styler: Beautiful Curls Gel for Wavy to Curly Hair

all-natural products, light moisture, humectants, argan oil
silk protein, synthetic ingredients, heavy oils/products, cowashing
I'm still experimenting, but so far, just using everyday shea as a leave in and plopping gives me the best results.

The gels I've tried so far just weigh my hair down.

I use coconut oil as a deep treatment and olive oil for sealing, but not all the time.

Recently, I've found my scalp to be kinda gunky, so I've been experimenting with alternatives to a condish RO. Even the mildest poos seem to induce too much frizz for me when used everyday. So I'm leaning towards a dry scalp massage and plain water washing. No products at all needed for those!

Since the dew points here are similar year round, I'll probably be able to use the same routine year round.

My hair is currently drying with conditioner and a little oil as a sealant. I tried two different conditioners...one half of my hair with tressemme and the other half with devacare one conditioner....I will post results after it's completely dry and possible pictures if it turns out decent...

Update: I believe the tressemme faired better after all. The devacare One C seemed a tad producty, but not bad. I will definitely use the tressemme again. I want to try the GVCB and a couple of other conditioners I have. It's weird how the conditioner only worked for me but since then, I thought I would style with just a curl cream and my results were total duds . I do remember trying this out a long time ago with some vo5 and I thought one other conditioner with not so good results. This time my hair turned out great.
The only thing I'm worried about is getting over conditioned. I will have to work on it some more. If nothing else, I can alternate with conditioner only and using other styling products. I'm just in shock as to how well my hair turned out!! This may also work better for me in the winter. Either way, I believe I will continue to style with conditioner only at least once a week ( I usually wash every other day) and it will save me money in the long run..

I would love to give this a go. Anyone have some organic/natural rec's? It seemed Suave was a popular one but I am not keen on its ingredient list.

Using FIA: 2b/2a mix with a few ringlets in the canopy, straighter in the under layer by my neck. Thin in density, fine strands. Normal porosity. Hennaed.

Go To's: Aveda, Lush

I will have to try using the SSDT...I think I will use a heavier conditioner on my ends so I don't have to keep adding conditioner as it dries. I'm really liking conditioner only. This time I used the smoothing technique that Teri Laflash (?) does. My curls look tighter and defined, nice change. I will take pics next time.

I have been conditioner styling with Deva One C only for a while. I won't lie. It's not the same as using gel. But if I use enough and let it dry I do get some crunch that is really easy to scrunch out and still leaves my hair soft, not hard or sticky.

It rained a lot today and my hair has held up really well.

I haven't really tried other conditioners. But I have been meaning to because the One C is expensive and hard to come by.

I have been ordering the 32 oz bottle online and it lasts me a few months. But it would be great to find something cheaper and closer to home.

I should also say that I have really acne prone skin (even at 44) so i don't like to do a lot of experimenting. For whatever reason, the One C doesn't give me trouble. A lot of oils and gums break me out.
