Added pic of new length

So I added a picture of the back of my head to show the length. It doesn't look like that huge of a difference in the pictures, but I feel like it's completely different....not in a good way

I really don't like it.

For some insane reason i told her to cut 2 inches off. I feel like ti turned out to be more than that, but who knows for sure.

Boo.

*****The first picture was taken today, the second was November 1.

Did you get more layers cut in? it looks like it has more layers in the new pic. I think the other length suits you better. It's hard to keep hair at the perfect length it's either growing out or needing a cut.
Next time says 1/4 an inch maybe you'll get the 2 you really wanted. I swear I don't know why they ask us what we want, most don't do it anyway.

The good news is though that your hair looks good, it seems curlier too
2c/3a?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
I think it looks nice, even though I'm a fan of longer hair too....and it does look curlier, which is something I'm always going for.

UR right. I can't tell much of a difference - a tad shorter maybe. It still looks very nice to me. But I understand that we notice it more on ourselves. It looks like it will grow back really quickly.

Oh ow ow that's a short layer, I'm growing out that length right now. I'm so sorry
You don't look frumpy in the least it's just real different from before. It looks good but I wish she wouldn't have done so many layers. It takes out some volume so it makes the hair look shorter in general.

It will grow out beautifully you watch. I'd be upset too but honestly you look good. I just wish you could get the cut you ask for

I've been going to her for a year and really like her. I blame myself really, I thought I wanted it shorter. Now I know. Lesson learned

At least now I know what I consider my ideal length to be (right to the top of my armpits..LOL)

Thanks for comiserating...it truely helps

I'm going to play with it after Christmas and try syting it differently...maybe blow dry upside down or something....

I can at least empathize with you -- I just recently had a bad hair experience too -- although I was able to cover up ugly highlights my hair has to endure some harshness to combat the highlights...anyway, just wanted to say you are not alone! I think your hair looks beautiful btw.

honestly when you said it was short i was imagining uber short, but its still below your shoulders which in my books is more on the longer side. but i can appreciate that from your p.o.v. it's not what you wanted. but take comfort in the fact that it still looks fab, your hair looks so healthy and its so pretty, and others wont see the length it used to be. i am also a fan of longer hair and i did love your old length but it WILL grow back, so until then have fun experimenting with shorter hair! thats the attitude i had to take when i lost SIX INCHES way back a year ago. my hair still hasnt grown back to its original length and because it was all cut at one length its now too short underneath for even a very long layer. i remember being in uber shock at my short hair when it was cut but i started playing around with it and before i knew it was long again and the new hair styles i'd worked out wouldnt work with my hair longer!

sorry to hear youre not liking it as much, but just concentrate on how great you can make it look now, not what it DID look like. i still think it looks gorgeous!
