So, here is the deal with hairspray:
You can get a hairspray without silicones. However most hairsprays have drying alcohols in them. You are trying to moisturize your hair and drying alcohols work against that goal. The hairsprays that don't have drying alcohols take longer to dry. The quick drying is what most people like about hairsprays in the first place.
The hairspray I have is Ion finishing spritz from sally's. I hate the smell (almond/cherry I think). It does take a long time to dry. I only use this occasionally.

Aussie has them when I used to use hairspray. From the Sprunch line I think.

Polyquat 22 may be hard to remove if you cowash exclusively.

I just ordered this yesterday from Sally's (yay 25% off coupon!). Ion - Anti-Frizz Solutions - Ion Gel Styling Mist
It's a spray gel so there's no alcohol like a typical hair spray. The ingredients look pretty good, and CG: WATER ,VP/VA COPOLYMER ,GLYCERIN ,PROPYLENE GLYCOL ,PPG-26-BUTETH-26 ,PANTHENOL ,PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL ,CARBOMER ,TRIETHANOLAMINE ,FRAGRANCE ,CITRIC ACID ,IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE ,METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE ,BUTYLENE GLYCOL ,ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE ,HEDYCHIUM CORONARIUM ROOT EXTRACT ,ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS (ROSEMARY) LEAF E ,CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER ,SALVIA OFFICINALIS (SAGE) LEAF EXTRACT ,URTICA DIOICA (NETTLE) EXTRACT ,BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL
I can't wait to try it and report back My hair does seem to get weighed down easily if I use too much gel... but not enough and I get frizz and not much definition. So a spray gel sounds like it might be ideal for me. Suave also has a new spray gel out for curly hair, but I haven't found it in the store yet.
Suave: Professional Quality Products for the Entire Family
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), VP/VA Copolymer, PVP, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Fragrance (Parfum) , Aminomethyl Propanol, DMDM Hydantoin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylisothiazolinone

I use the Garnier Volumizing HS as a finisher on days that I know are going to be really long or windy. It does contain alcohol which is against strict CG rules, but I make sure my hair is always well moisturized, so that's not an issue for me personally. And it smells so good!

My wave pattern is very elongated so that means that my bangs have no curl because I keep them short. As a result, I round brush or clip them and then (perhaps out of habit) I spray them lightly once dry.
I use, and like, Alba Botanica hair spray. It is CG and cheap.
This one:

I use Giovanni LA Hold Hair Spritz. It has good hold and is not sticky. There is some alcohol, but it's way down on the list. Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients: Aqua (Purified Water) with Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil, Nettle (Urtica Dioica) Oil, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) Oil, Birch Leaf (Butela Alba) Oil, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis Flower) Oil, Clary (Salvia Sclarea), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Coltsfoot Leaf (Tussilago Farfara), Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) Oil, Mallow(Malva Sylvestris), Horsetail (Equistetum Arvense) Oil, PVP/VA Copolymer, Soybean Protein (Glycine Soja), Alcohol Denatured (plant derived), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Trace Minerals, Citric Acid (corn), Grapefruit Seed (citrus derived), Fragrance with Essential Oils.

You could also try to make your own gelspray as a change for your hairspray

This. You might be able to give up the hairspray if you have a spray gel on hand. Herbal essences set me up spray gel is CG:
Water/Eau, PVP, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract, Cereus Grandiflorus (Cactus) Flower Extract, Fragrance/Parfum, Chitosan, Lactic Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Polysorbate 80, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Tocopherol.
Buy Herbal Essences Set Me Up Spray Gel Extra 2 Lily Bliss Fragrance online at CVS.com
Personally I feel like hairspray gives a stickier harder hold than my favorite gels, but different strokes for different folks.

LOL!! I can't live without hairspray either. I've been using Ouidad Styling Mist for years! It gives good hold (I could get curls to last overnight) without it being helmet-like. It does have alcohol and silicones, but the silicone is water soluble.
Ingredients: Alcohol Denat., Water, Ethyl Ester of PVM/MA Copolymer, Alcohol, Aminomethyl Propanol, AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Benzophenone-3, Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), PEG-12 Dimethicone, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Fragrance, Eugenol, Limonene

regular ol' poos and condtioner/Ouidad BB/Bain de Terre Recovery Complex/mousse/curling spray/Sebastian Texturizer (old formula) Gel/ scrunch WHILE diffusing ‘til dry then Ouidad SM
New Way: (curls ruined with too much coloring & hi-lites)... TBD...
Tried DEVA Styling... NO LUCK. Currently using DEVA no poo & One Condition with old regimen minus the ‘cone serum, but not working because of new Sebastian formula... Boo!!

I'm a born and bred Jersey girl so I know how important hair spray is!!!! I recently gave up using traditional spray because of the alchohols that were in them...I feel like they were contributing to my dry scalp. But I still needed some hold. I did a search on the 'Net and discovered Creo Care. They have a "shine spray" that is free of alcohol, silicones, petrochemicals, and is not tested on animals. It also helps protect hair from UV rays (very important if you color your hair like I do!!). It is on the pricey side ($21) but I've been using it for a week now and I really like it a lot. It has a nice smell, it doesn't seem to be drying my hair out nor does it leave my hair "crunchy". If you've got the money, I'd definitely recommend trying it!

Ion hair spray and Giovanni L.A. Spritz
The Ion is Very slow to try - making hair limper - it has a low hold. First it goes on stiff - then it softens up to a hold of a strong mouse, IMO.
I just got the Giovanni Spritz - last night I tried it ona spot - and it has firm hold. It tries fast. I'm going to try it today - and will check back either tonight or tomorrow. But so far - it seems to do what a hairspray should do.
Ohhhh - I just saw the above post - I think I'm goin to order the Creo Care next payday - I just saw that the Creo Care has a U V protectant! How is the hold, natural, medium or firm?

It seems to be a natural hold. It keeps my hair in place and doesn't look crunchy or wet even after a few spritzes.

I use Tresemme Naturals hair spray on mine when I need it. I haven't looked but it probably has alcohols in it. I haven't experienced hair any drier than normal since I started using it, but then again I'm a moisturizing fiend.
