What does KCCC play well with for you???
So we all know that some products play better with others. KCCC recommends using all their products together (as do most lines) but I was wondering....what does it play with well for you?
I just recently discovered that for me, it plays REALLY well with Cure Care conditioner from Sallys. Cure care is oil and butter free, with very few ingredients, but works really well for my hair. I used it with the KCCC and ended up with very soft, smooth wurly hair.
So how about you?

Nothing. The only time I get it to work well for me is when I use it with nothing under it...not even a leave-in (I even tried KCKT w/o luck). I can put a bit of KC spiral spritz scrunched over it but that's it.
But most days KCCC doesn't work very well at all for me. It seems to be very, very touchy stuff.

I like to mix it with SS CEJ. Neither one has enough enhancement or hold on its own. I still have to top with a gel though!

Really? With SS CEJ? I thought the 2 were similar with Aloe being the main ingredient. Interesting that you like to mix them.
Ry I don't seem to have any issues with rinse out's and KCCC. It's mostly what LI I choose. In cool dews I like KCKT best but when they get to be like 20 and below I prefer either Lustrasilk, CJ CFix or Curls Milkshake

I use it with.... NOTHING. I use JUST KCCC - no leave-in, no curl creme, no other gels or jellys. I have found that, for some reason, if I condition with AOHR, it doesn't work well. But, it works really well for me when I use CJBSC. That's all I'll use when I do use it - CJBSC and KCCC. ...Crazy, eh?
Here's one day when I did that...

I dunno, my hair is weird!
Someone suggested it on another thread and my hair responded really well to it for some reason. Lately, my fav combo has been mixing SS CEJ and DM Miracurl gelly together which somehow seems to negate the glycerin in the DM?? I had to shelve the gelly late fall because it was one of the products that gave me the "flash drying" feeling.

Thanks for the input guys!
I hear ya, Del.....I have issues with LI's generally anyway. I actually like KCKT as a CO wash but sometimes use it as a LI too, mostly in winter.
Racerwife, LOVELY hair! Yep, that's pretty much what I end up with if I use it by itself too.
Asianrunner, I'm going to have to try CEJ with it AND with DMMCG (I have had issues with it FOREVER and am trying to figure out ways to get it to work some until I can use it up!)

I've recently been pairing KCCC with AOMM and I love it!!!!! Leaves my hair very moisturized throughout the day and clumpy.

Just KCCC with knot today and another aloe vera based gel. Everything else I've tried with it left my hair full of flakes.

I absolutely love KCCC mixed with DevaCurl B'Leave in. Sometimes I add DevaCurl AnGEL or DevaCare ArcAngel to the mix.

asianrunner, how much KCCC to SS CEJ do you use when you mix them? And do you put a gel or anything on top?

I'm curious to know this, too, as I have these two products and would like to experiment with them together!

Hmmm I'm not very scientific with it, especially since it's hard to tell how much I get out of the KCCC tub. I'd say it's about a dime's worth of KCCC and just a little more CEJ (then the KCCC) for each of section of hair, which ends up being about a third of my hair.
I'll pay closer attention next time I do this combo!

I got some samples yesterday and used it with KCKT and got pretty good results. Nice frizz free clumps. The only issue I had was that when I applied, it felt "squeaky" and my curls felt kind of waterlogged, although my drying time was about the same.
Anyone know how it works in high dews? Or second day hair?
