Tried it, love it! An absolute steal for under $3! It is VERY thick and creamy, I overdid it the first time, but the second time I used it, I used less and loved the results. Made my hair very soft and I had ZERO frizz!

It's not CG, it had some cone, I forgot which one. I'm kind of over strict cg, so I didn't care. If you are someone who likes to flirt with some non-cg stuff, this is definitely worth trying!

Just bumping to see if anyone has tried this yet. I still completely love it, I grab one every time I go to the store now, I think I have about 6 stockpiled at this point.

Can not believe I am having great results from such a cheap product!

All of the above have silicones in them, if you're trying to avoid them you may want to stay away.

I've used the Almond and Shea and after a while the dimethicone just got too much. I'm not strict CG but I do prefer to low poo and it wasn't cutting through this stuff. My hair just felt dirty. I have about 1/4 of the bottle left, but I just leave it for my BF to use.

Default Love love love this mousse

I bought 10 of these and stashed them just incase. I have noticed they fly off the shelves quick. I use the entire line including shampoo and conditioner. I found it to be the best at defining my 3b/3c curls. And the mousse is sooooo creamy but it doesnt way my fine thin hair down. I love it because even in humid Hawaii and all of our trpoical rain my hair is still fabulous.

Default Love this product!

Hello All,

I absolutely love Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Mousse. I've used many products (in all price ranges) for curly hair and love trying new products. This is by far one of the best products to give definition without crunch, eliminate frizz and give shine to your curls. Try it!

This is the best non-CG styler I've used! Only downside is it kinda makes my hair feel sticky yet slippery? Just very weird. Probably the cones.

Highly recommend it, though, if you aren't CG! It's a great buy

Cetearyl alcohol is a conditioner, not a drying alcohol.

To those who love this - does it provide good hold or are you having to put a gel on top in high dews?

I REALLY wanted to like this. I was willing to try it even with the cone (dimethicone). I just wasnt impressed. I must be the only person on the planet it doesnt work for, judging from the glowing reviews of it all over the internet.

I'll use a cone on occassion if the product is THAT great (ex: curls rock amplifier, cyclomethicone), but I think the dimethicone was just too much for me. I loved the consistency of it, & it seemed moisturizing, but it did nothing for curl enhancement, zero hold, & by midday it was obvious to me I'd used a 'cone. Cyclomethicone in the amplifier isnt bothering me. But this mousse - my hair looked overly fakely shiny, no volume, frizzed, & just felt kinda plasticky.

I may try it once more using less of it (didnt use that much anyways to begin with) but I wont stess too much trying to make a silicone product work.

I broke down and picked this up. Funny how intimidating those 'cones are I keep looking at the bottle.....I haven't used non soluble cones in years. I believe I will try this tomorrow..

Got a can 2 days ago...was very intimidated by the cones, but I have used it the past 2 days after light acv rinsing and have had stellar results!! Have to follow directions on can- and I think my hair looked better the day I let it air dry eater than when I diffused today...but I still have lots of styling techniques to try with this...hate to speak to soon, but I think I'm in love

3a, s curly, fine hair that hates sulfates, silicones, and Proteins (except for keratin occasionally)!

Daily- suave naturals coconut conditioner as was out and leave-in
Devacurl be'leavein and archangel sometimes, other times suave captivating curls whipped mousse (which I know has cones, but has been working amazingly well despite this?!?! )

Occasionally (1-2 times/week)
Shampoo- l'oreal eversleek reparative smoothing shampoo
Conditioners- GVP conditioning balm and Millcreek Botanicals jojoba conditioner
ACV

Hair that freely borrows from 3a/ 3b texture schools. These are the things I use to care for it:
  • Apple Cider Vinegar rinses weekly
  • shampoos occasionally that do not contain sulfates
  • conditioners without silicones or proteins (or so I think- Keratin seems to do ok)
  • Flour sack towel
And I dont even know what else right now...thinking I may need to drop gels altogether...

Currently have Shea Moisture and DevaCurl products that I may just need to give up on and cut as a loss...

^^ curious...you say in your sig your fine hair hates proteins, but suave coconut has protein in it, and devacurl products i thought all had protein in them? Just wondering, honestly not trying to be rude or anything. Do those 2 not have protein? Ive never used deva anything.

This product sounds great! Do you use any other products with it? Does it add volume and dry quickly?

I couldn't wait any longer, so last night I washed a section of my hair and used a little leave in and then used some of this mousse. Results were ok. My ends were frizzy and I know I put enough mousse in. Otherwise, my hair looked soft and shiny. Honestly I like the GVP Paul Mitchell sculpting foam better. Not sure if I will still use this or return it. It is worth a try if you're not opposed to cones. My results weren't terrible. I do want to try the Noodle head mouse though.
