A couple of lowpoos that I am loving!
With all the posts about searching for CG friendly lowpoos, I decided it was time to share about 2 that I have been using and loving. I know we are all so different so you may not care for these. My hair is medically curly, not technically naturally curly. My hair is not even a little coarse, not the least bit dry and I can get overconditioned faster than anything. I need my hair to feel clean. First, because of old habits (I used to love my lather!) and second because I use a lot of product and it is all full of plastics! ha!
I like to alternate a couple so that my hair does not get too used to one. I searched Beauty Brands and read every sulfate free shampoo bottle I could find. Sadly, many contained cones (cones in a poo? Yep. That is one way to have you think that their product is really moisturizing your hair!) and many contained olefin sulfonate which is a surfactant that many here can use but is more harsh on my hair than any sulfate I ever used. I had to cut two huge, tangled clumps out of my hair (thanks Trader Joes-made by Giovanni-sulfate free shampoos!).
Abba Color Protection Shampoo
It is a pearlized (so creamier) product. It cleans my hair but is the more moisturizing of the two. The bottle looked small so seemed expensive but has lasted me a long time. It has kind of a cherry scent. To me, it reminds me of the brown bottle Vidal Sassoon shampoo when I was a teen.

Back to Basics Lavender Color Protecting Shampoo
This one is a clear shampoo and really cleans my hair. It is not left feeling like I have a coating on my hair. It is also less expensive. Sadly, I have been told by someone that this is being discontinued. Hope not.
