Need help and suggestions!!!

Hello All,

Im a new official member to the site but have been browsing for a while and decided to join cuz im sick of guessing about things.

So my on a mission to find products for my hair, im big on cocktials so any suggestions are appreciated.

So with that being said lets get down to business.....
I have a mix of 3a 3b and 3c hair; with it being wavy-curly-straight not necessarly in that order but definately apparent throughout my head of hair.

I cut my hair completely off last year with the intention of not flat ironing it anymore; needless to say that didnt work. So my true curl pattern is kinda lost in the weekly heat on blast treatment/ punishment it has endured over that past few months. However; these last 3 months I have only flat ironed it 3x and let it air dry about 85% before blow drying it.

Im looking for products that will bring out the best of my curly-wavy mix, w/o wieghing it down, making it sticky, keeping it shiny and soft.

I attaching a pic of how my hair is today....note its kinda tamed so far, I brush use gell and its color-treated btw...

maybe you should try going CG, if you dont want to you should still should do a deep conditioner once a week and then a leave in conditioner too
It looks as though the reason you appears to have a 3a/3b/3c mix is because your hair is suffering from heat damage. The more you flatiron without some sort of heat protectant on your hair, it'll get worse.

First things first, stay away from the heat.

If you're not too interested in cutting your hair again to get it to curl again, then I would suggest trying protein treatments (either ones you make at home or something you purchase at Sally's or beauty supply store).

Yea i know the heat was bad thats why i cut it in the first place but i was almost addicted to my flat iron'...slowly but surely im weening myself off

I def plan on duing both the protein treatment and deep condtioner. Should i do one first or can i do them in my normal hair wash routine? do you have suggestions as to best products and/or any do it ypurself protien treatment?
Well most people do their protein treatment according the directions on the pack, so if it says use on freshly washed hair, then yeah. One common in store protein treatment people use on here . . is Aphogee 2 Step Protein treatment, which is like a hard core protein treatment. I know others used the Joico protein Pack, not sure about the exact name.

You can also do at home protein treatments like using ingredients like mayo, egg, yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, etc.(of course not ALL of these would be in the treatment, but you can use the search tool on here or go into the all natural hair care section of the board to find some recipes).

DC's . . a lot of people use Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Mask or I've used Hask - Hask Henna & Placenta Super Pack 2 oz. .

Lustrasilk - Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol Plus - A lot of people have used this DC and it's cheap, you get a lot of it and it works.
