Tell us your weekly PJ haul!

Like Tree5Likes

My PJ has returned with a vengeance, and I wanted others to share their PJ buys for the week so I won't feel as bad.
I'll start:
Sally's:
Ecostyler Olive Oil
GVP Conditioning Balm
GVP of Joico Kpak

Others:
Organix Coconut Shampoo
Tresemme Naturals Conditioner
LA Looks Sports Gel
Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-in
This week I have been mostly buying (little Fast Show pun for the UK NCers!)

Aldi Carino Deep treatment in the pink tub (the others aren't CG)
Eco Styler Krystal

I am meant to be on a no buy until I get my Live Curly Analysis results, but I appear to have broken it! Ooops. At least I only spent 4 (about $6) on the two.
Alba Strong Hold gel. I'm experimenting but I think the high glycerin content will make me wait until it gets a bit warmer!

I've been fairly good recently, although I am contemplating a CJ product binge, haha!
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: CJ Beauticurls, CJ A&OO, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: Mop C, KCCC, SCE FSG
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

First I got VO5 Kiwi Lime, a new shower filter cartridge, and some Nexxus Gel (I don't even know why I got it, but it was a tiny trial bottle and I figured it couldn't hurt!)

Then I got my CurlGenie profile and of course had to go shopping again!:
Suave Wild Cherry Blossom
Curl Souffle
L'Oreal Unkempt Out of Bed Texturizer
HETT Mousse

Trying to find GTTTT (I used it in the past and don't remember why I stopped, but my CurlGenie profile suggested it so I want to give it another shot) but the only place around me I know that has it is Target, and the GTTTT bottles were a mess. There were only 2 left - one was yellow and one was half empty. Probably some kids playing with the bottles. Grrrrr!
2b (with some straight under-layer, grrrrr)
Normal porosity, low elasticity, medium texture

(according to CurlGenie - HUGE surprise, I always thought I had fine hair and my stylists always agreed)

Tried CG for a summer, but it wasn't for me. I don't load up on sulfates and silicones, but I have no shame in using them when I want/need to! Currently loving LOOB.
*slight derailment*

KeLynn, you and I are almost hair twins - same porosity and elasticity, but you're medium and I'm medium-coarse. However, the Curls Souffle was also recommended for me, along with a Curls conditioner, and I've been debating buying them. Would you mind giving me a heads-up when you try the souffle and tell me what you think of it? You could PM me, if you like. I'd be much obliged!

*end derailment*

I haven't bought anything this week - YET. I got as far as putting 2 things into my cart at AveYou and then decided not to buy. But I'm really itching to!
Sulfate/non-water-soluble silicone free since 8/16/10
Northern VA
Med-coarse, normal porosity, low elasticity
Dye-free since 11/2010

**slight derailment for me too**
KeLynn, my analysis recommended the Curls Souffle too and the Loreal texturizer. I'd love to hear how you like those products after you try them (and where did you purchase the Souffle from?).
**end derailment**

So I purchased my 1st CJ full size product and got it yesterday-CIAB Love it!

I got the LOOB (that's the code for the Out of Bed texuturizer, right?) last night and I. LOVE. IT. I took a shower last night (instead of this AM) just so I could try it out right away. It's something I never would have picked out for myself because one of the first ingredients is oil (PEGed, but still, I usually wouldn't pick it up). I used it like a curl cream under gel, then diffused like normal. It was super curl enhancing and volumizing - my two biggest goals with my hair!

I'm trying not to get TOO excited about this, because I've had things in the past that were amazing for a day or two then suddenly stopped working, but if this keeps performing the same way it will definitely be an HG for me.

I've been pretty good about not buying any hair products for a few months. But I recently just ordered:

CJ Curl Rehab
CJ Daily Fix
CJ Beauticurls Leave-In
Celebration Henna

From a couple weeks ago... couldn't resist, Sally's had a coupon and it had been a while. I had a ton of stuff on my "Wish List" but narrowed it down to this (there were a couple other non-hair things in the order too).

I can't compare it to the Olive Oil Eco Styler, though. I had ordered the OO version a few months ago, but when it arrived the container was broken. I returned it to my local store because they didnt have it in stock for me to get a replacement. I was going to reorder it and then I saw the Argan Oil version and got that instead. I do like the AO version better than the Krystal, the AO version feels lighter and has a really nice light scent.

I've been eyeballing that shea butter cholesterol. Have you tried it yet? I'm wondering if I can substitute it for my SM Smoothie.

My PJ buys the past week have been
Aubrey Organics Jojoba Aloe Desert Herb Conditioner
hydroxyethylcellulose (almost out of xanthan gum for FSG)
behentrimonium methosulfate

The AOJADH is as a L/I, diluted some with water and some with FSG. I think it makes my hair more crispy after the BRHG dries so it may go in the bin to swap.
The BTMS is to expirament with FSG to make a L/I.

Mix of 2s med-low porosity, med-fine texture, lots of hair
mrsgp101310 & rustina - Just got the souffle last night - so of course I had to try it out immediately. As I type this, it's been about 4 hours since I styled & dried. After washing, I took about a nickel-sized dollop (it's hard to describe the size, since it's not runny and is more "3D" than a liquid) and smoothed it over/scrunched it in to my hair. Then I scrunched in HETT, scrunched with microfiber cloths, plopped about 10 min with a Turbie Twist, and upside down pixie diffused until 90% dry. FWIW, today the humidity is at 62% with a dew point of 51.

I really like it! Total surprise too, because this is another one I never would have picked out on my own, with an oil being the second ingredient. While my CurlGenie profile said I have medium hair, I think it's closer to fine than to coarse, and it's easily weighed down. Despite that, I have relatively good volume and it did really seem to help my curls form. They look and feel defined but soft.

All that being said, if I had to choose between the two, I would definitely stick with the LOOB. It just seemed to tighten up my waves more than the souffle, and I usually prefer a more intense curl pattern. Plus it gave me more volume, and I like hair the size of Texas. But I think if I hadn't tried out the LOOB before the Souffle, Souffle would have floored me. I'm definitely keeping it in the rotation.

I do remember that it smells nice, and the consistency is lighter than I expected it to be - similar to the Lustrasilk Olive Oil Cholesterol if you have tried that. I was expecting it to be creamier with the shea butter. I used it as a leave-in but I don't remember what gel I used with it. Might have been Eco Krystal, or Ion Spray Gel. I remember thinking of how much I liked my hair that day. I've not tried any SM products yet, so I'm not sure how they compare.
