Default I'm giving CG another try...what about these products?

It's been awhile since I first read the Curly Girl book, and when I first tried CG, it was awful because I hadn't discovered this website yet. I also haven't wanted to check all of the products for cones and sulfates because it seems tedious....but I've heard so many CG success stories, particularly about how it creates more curl. Since this is my primary goal for my hair, I thought that now that I'm better informed, I'd give CG another shot.

I've been alternating between styling with La Bella Max Hold Styling Gel (it's green) and Tresemme Flawless Curls Mousse, Extra Hold. I've been getting decent results with both of these, but since I'm trying CG again, I'm not sure if I can continue using them (although I doubt it). Could someone more knowledgeable about these things let me know if they're ok, or what it would take to remove cones, etc.?

Here are the ingredients for the gel: Deionized Water, Sorbitol, PVP, Propylene Glycol, Carbopol, PVP/VA, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Triethanolamine, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylparaben, Polysorbate-20, Benzophenone-4, Isosteareth-20, Tetrasodium EDTA, Fragrance, FD&C Blue No.1, FD&C Yellow No.5

Ingredients for the mousse: Water, Isobutane, Hydrofluorocarbon 152A, VP/VA copolymer, Ployquartenum-11, Propane, Polyquartenum-4, PVP, Polyquarternum-7, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polysorbate 20, Olealkonium Chloride, Cocamidoporpyl Betane, PPG-12-PEG-50 Lanolin, PPG-9 Diethylmonium Chloride, Glycerin, Gelatin/Keratin, Amino Acids/ Lysine Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Propelyne Glycol, Sorbitol, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance

I have a feeling that these products will require sulfates to remove them, but I thought I'd check just in case. If these aren't CG, can anyone recommend any relatively inexpensive drugstore products that are? Thank you so much! Sorry for the long post. Merry Christmas, Happy (late) Chanukah, Happy other holidays!! Thanks again!

The gel is fine, but the mousse contains cyclopentasilaxane, which will be very difficult to remove. FX makes a curl mousse that some people like, which is CG and available at drugstores. It's about $5 and comes in a yellow container with purple writing.

No, I've never really had any problems with protein, so as long as the gel is working for me, I think I'll keep using it....it's really cheap, which is nice. Maybe I'll give the FX mousse a try, too.
