Porosity question..

I just wanted to know if my hair can be highly porous if it literally takes days to dry? I think I read somewhere that highly porous hair dries really fast because water escapes it so easily...

I'm just curious because I'm still having a hard time determining my hair properties and what products I need to add to it to "tame" it. So far I know for a fact that I have mixed areas of fine, normal and coarse strands throughout my head, the normal and fine strands are mixed in while the coarse strands are predominantly at my nape. I used to do the aphogee two step PT in hopes of getting some definition, but my hair laughed at it. It was as if it wasn't strong enough. I overcondition easily so most products I use have protein in it but my hair still feels very blah, like stretched cotton. Lately its been dry and I thought I needed moisture since I hardly ever DT, but moisture doesn't really seem to do anything for my hair either. I feel like no matter what I do I just have a big old poof ball on my head. Only my ends curl up nicely wit definition when I wash and go which I've stopped since like I said it would probably takes actual days to air dry. My hair is insanely dense so I'm sure that contributes to it not drying ever...

Anyway, the point was maybe if I can figure out the rest of my hair properties then maybe it can behave better and I can stop walking around like Don King! I recently discovered the wonder that are twist outs but I have to sit under a dryer for like 90 mins and even then its not totally dry. Not to mention the 60-90 mins it takes me to make them (I'm not very good and my hair tangles easily...). I just want simplicity. Any suggestions is 100% appreciated. TIA.

Mostly fine hair, coarse around my edges and nape.
Definitely high porosity and insanely dense.
Not so sure on the elasticity, but I don't think I have a very good moisture/protein balance and my hair is ubber dry, so I'm going to go with low... of course I could be very wrong.

Regimen:
Cowash/RO: HEHH, AIA Coconut Cowash
PT: Ion Effective Care Treatment
DT: Any condish with EVOO+Honey
LI: SM CES or PM The conditioner
Styler: EcoStyler Olive Oil, KCCC, or Let's Jam
