Hi,

I just ordered the Mop Top sampler from Curlmart & then added the pomade (did not come w/ the sampler). Just wondering if anyone has had luck with these products. Hoping the gel has a nice hold without crunch. All are cone & alcohol free which really sold me! I also enjoyed reading the story of the creator of the product line - how she is a curlie who dealt with unruly hair all her life. It's just too bad they only sell this stuff online. At least I do not know where I can buy them here in NY.

So my question is, what is the best way to use the products? Can the conditioner be used as a leave-in? Does the gel give any crunch?

I use the gel. I have pretty good hair with it and not much crunch. My only problem is it sometimes fades out so my 2nd day hair isn't that good.

She does seem like a nice person from reading about her - again, I am so happy that the products are cone & alcohol free. Just hoping they are not too good to be true! I have not been loving my hair lately.

I'd love to hear more about how to use the gel. It was super-crunchy on me and gave me stringy waves. It also flaked like mad so maybe I used too much.

Should I be using a cream/leave-in under it? I just used CK under it when I tried it.

I think I get crunch from CK - so I would probably have to use a leave-in condish under this gel. I'm hoping that their conditioner can be used as a leave-in.
