Lavender water and aloe vera gel - a good option for 2nd day hair?

Hello!
I wasn't sure where to post this one so I'm just putting it here.
I've been using LOTD AVG with water for 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th day hair! It works well for me and gives me shine . But recently I have learned that lavender water is also good for 2nd day hair. Could I possibly add some drops of lavender essential oil to my concoction of 1/3 avg with 2/3 water? Have any of you tried this? If so, did it work for you? What did it do to your hair? Is it better than simply avg and water?
Thanks in advance for your help! Any input is welcomed!!

Lavender water is nice, but the lavender is just there to add a little scent (and maybe some very minimal cleansing). Adding lavender essential oil to your AVG and water mixture will honestly only make it smell a little prettier. If the AVG and water mixture is working for you, I'd stick with that. It sounds like you're really loving it, so there's no reason to add the lavender unless you want it to have a nice scent.

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh! Thanks! I was wondering what lavender did because I read in a couple posts that some people had a better reaction to lavender water than just water. I thought it was more than just for scent.

You're welcome! Yeah, it's mainly for the pleasant odor. It does cleanse in the slightest (it might be nice and refreshing/cleaning if you were to spray it on your scalp), but I usually mix up some lavender water just because it smells pretty.

If it just for scent then I will keep my simple avg and water like you suggested . When I spray my hair it actually reactivates the smell of the products I used before, mainly like my coconut condish.
