Received my first shipment of Jessicurl and used the HCC, Too Shea and CC with pretty good results. My question is after using conditioners to co wash for the past six months(with not the best results) I was wondering how often I should be using the HCC to cleanse? Do any of you also switch off between the HCC and the GLS? Please post any routines you have with these products. Thanks.

I use HCC about every other day, or whenever my scalp feels a little itchy.

I think how you use HCC really depends on your own hair. I find that I rarely need to shampoo so I don't use it very often...maybe once every 4 to 6 weeks. Since your hair seems to be asking for some cleansing, why not use HCC once and then see how long it takes before your hair starts feeling like it needs to be cleansed again. Might be a week, might be longer or shorter.

I use HCC everyday and GLS once a week or week and a half. Depends on when I feel like I am getting a buildup because I do use hairspray. The GLS is a little too dry for me to use everyday.

In the summer (hotter, more humid), I use HCC every day and GLS once per week. I also do an ACV rinse once per week (not the same day). In the winter (colder and drier), I sometimes skip a day shampooing w/ HCC. I still use GLS and the ACV rinse once per week.

Couple of inches past shoulder length 3A. Shampoo every 3rd or 4th day w/ baby shampoo; Tigi Fashionista conditioner; back to Condition 3-in-1 mousse . Alternate days water rinse, conditioner and mousse.

I'm glad you asked this question. I was wondering the same thing. I just ordered some full sized Jessicurl products (had tried the trial pack) from Curlmart yesterday.

SuZen, if you don't mind-what do you do/use the days that you do not use HCC? I"d love to make the bottles of Jessicurl products last longer.

I use HCC to cleanse once a week. I haven't been needing to co-wash in the interim so I just wet, condition, etc on the days that I don't cleanse.

Some days I just rinse and condition (with Aloeba, and Too Shea on the ends). Probably about 2 or 3 times a week I condition-wash, with Suave Citrus Smoothie. I stay pretty much cone-free and my scalp doesn't tend to get gunky at all.

Thanks, Suzen! I just tried Suave Aloe Vera and Waterlily for a co-wash and really liked it. It had great slip, moisturized well and detangled. I think my hair liked that it doesn't have protein. I'll use it on the days I don't use HCC.


My hair never gets oily, so it shouldn't be a problem if I don't use HCC all the time.

I use HCC maybe 3 times a week and use Suave Aloe Vera condish in between. I do think you could use everyday if you wanted. I prefer to hoard my expensive stuff.
