Pictures of other's curly bangs + my new side bangs! :)
Hi all! I'm going to go get a haircut soon. My layers need reshaping and my ends are dry. But I want to get some bangs... There is a piece of my hair that constantly falls in my face unless I clip it. I wear my hair parted to the side, so I kinda want side swept bangs. I wont be straightening them, I just want a couple shorter curls to frame my face. Anyways I was looking for some more pictures. These are sort of what I want:
Anyone have any more good curly bang photos? Preferably natural ones.

I love curly bangs, but most of the time mine get wonky and I end up pinning them back once my hair is dry. It still looks cute, but if anyone knows how to get them to look anything like those pictures you posted, I am all ears. I've tried to stop, but I often still blow dry the fringe straight because it curls up so much. I also part to the side.
I still think it is worth trying. Wort case scenario you continue to pin it back.

I have the same problem! Most of my hair dries into these cute, s- curls with a fairly consistent pattern, but the pieces framing my face get super funky and frizz near my scalp and poke out in weird directions. They're like the bad dancers with no rhythm that step on everyone's toes.
Lately I've been finger-curling them while they're wet and covered in gel, to kind of force them into a consistent pattern, though this only works well about 70% of the time.
So I guess I'm bumping this post, 'cause I'd be interested to hear other ways of managing curly bangs.

I was thinking I would skip curl them usually and then diffuse so they "set". And yeah, if I hate the bangs I'll just do little braid or pin them every day lol
skipcurling if ya don't know:

I don't have any pics, but skipcurling bangs sounds like a GREAT idea! Never really thought of it. I'm always paranoid about leaving my hair outside of my plop for even a few minutes before I diffuse because 99% of the time that spells D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R for me, but I guess I'll just have to suck it up and try it one of these times. I have sort of angled bangs that swoop down to meet my layers, and 70% of the time they end up clipped back because I have a few amazing pieces of hair that are doing exactly what I want -- curling into these cute, perfect little ringlets -- and the rest of them are...well, I think Sleepyjess said it best. "Like the bad dancers with no rhythm that step on everyone's toes." (Love that saying, BTW! It so fits. )

Even if my bangs don't cooperate... I'm kinda bored with my hair, and I want something to play with lol. Oh and maybe clipping the bangs and weighing them down while they dry would help those stray dancers stay in time.
I decided to do some more picture searches for bangs These aren't necessarily ones I want anymore.

So I finally got my bangs cut! There a bit longer than I wanted... and I might trim them yet. Definitely still working on styling them. But now my hair isn't in my face all the time.!

OMGosh, it's beautiful, whimaway! I love the bangs on you! They look SO cute! I really like it. Bangs are definitely for you if you want something to play with -- and a new look! Yours kinda look like mine, except mine are maybe a little thicker and don't have the nice uniform curl yours do. I love it, though!

Your bangs look nice (and at least with them being longer you do still have the option of cutting them shorter, if you wish).

They look great! I also like the pic with your hair pulled back, they frame your face so nicely.
Mine tend to go between your length and some of the shorter ones in your style pics. I usually skip curl or finger curl them into place too.

Loving your bangs! I'm trying to make mine work, so far its a battle. I just trimmed mine a few days ago because I still had a half curly/half straight thing going on with them. I suspect they were the most damaged part of my hair from when I was flat ironing. Now my bangs are kind of short but not too bad. I'll try post pics if my hair looks good tomorrow.
PS whimaway, I love your videos!

Do post pics! And thanks thank thanks
I've trimmed my bangs since and taken pics with a real camera. They were just awkwardly long when my hair was down.
Also does anyone have any suggestions for preserving bangs for second day hair? Mine have not cooperated so far...

OMG so lovely. I wish I could do bangs but the hair just irritates my face to no end. I'd like to try long, side swept bangs (Taylor Swift-y, yup) that I could just brush off my face. Any pics of those?!?

I love your bangs! I agree they were a bit long (though still lovely) at first. I think the style suits you perfectly.
Also, OT, but I LOOOOVE your glasses.
