New Aussie Products

Anybody seen these? I saw (again at Target) the large bottle of the redesigned shampoo, but didn't think to even look and see if they had any of the other stuff.....wondering if any new products will be CG.

eta the link:

I saw a magazine ad for new Aussie products...drat, I forget which magazine it was..Self, Shape, Fitness-I subscribe to too many! Anyway, I think there were three or four different product lines. If I find the ad I'll post the info.

Hockeymom, I couldn't get the link to work, but it's probably our slow computer.

I hope they're not discontinuing anything-I really like the tizz no frizz gel. Has anyone found it anywhere besides Walmart? I"m always afraid they're going to run out of it.

Take care,
Sherry

By me, I have only seen the Tizz no Fizz gel at Target - and the next time I went back (after deciding I wanted it), they were out. I could not find it anywhere since then - Eckerd, CVS, etc. I have seen it around, it just seems as if now that I actually want to buy it, I can't find it!!!

hockeymomof3 12-27-2006 01:16 PM

I see tizz no frizz still on the website, so hopefully it is still available. I've only seen Tizz no Frizz at Walmart.

tinicurlyd 12-27-2006 01:30 PM

medusahair 12-27-2006 01:57 PM

It's listed under the Sydney Smooth category so it should still be around.

LB -- I saw on their home page where they did a thing like "old" product and here is the new packaging -- the gel+water is now the shine enhacing gel! If you let the home page come all the way up and you can click on "gel" it will say "old bottle" and it shows gel+water and the new bottle is "sun touched shine". I hope it's the same ingredients.

medusahair 12-28-2006 09:55 AM

It shows for the old bottle Mega and gel + water both for the Sun kissed gel.

sherry7899 12-28-2006 11:43 AM

Of course my local Target didn't have the new products....

Does the Gel plus Water work well for curl definition? Does it dry crunchy, and how is the hold? Is it CG friendly? Sorry for so many questions. I'm looking for cheap backups for days I don't use Jessicurl.

Thanks!
Sherry

Even though these products aren't on the shelves yet, I found the ingredients to the "catch the wave" conditioner from aussie from the pg.com website....

Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Stearyl Alcohol, Quaternium-18, Bis-aminopropyl Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glyceryl Stearate, Oleyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, EDTA, Methylchloroisothiazolinone/Methylisothiazolinone, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Ecklonia Radiata Extract*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil.
* Australian Sea Kelp Extract

Anybody have any idea if the cone in this would be water soluble? I'll see if I can find the ingredients for a few other new aussie products and post.

NO CYCLOPENTASILOXANE!!!!! :D :D :D (sorry for the shouting/cheering being so loud...just so excited!)

hockeymomof3, I don't think Bis-aminopropyl Dimethicone will be water soluble. At least it's after or near the fragrance in the ingred rank for each.

hockeymomof3 12-30-2006 08:03 AM

Thanks LB! I think it was the moist line that also said it has a new fragrance...

laurabeth33 01-07-2007 04:02 PM

I got a bottle of the Sydney Smooth Tizz No Frizz, and it's ingredients are identical to those on the old bottles of Tizz No Frizz.

Good new for the Tizz No Frizz fans!

Gel + Water was a really nice CG-friendly gel. Not crunchy, medium hold. And it didn't have that awful grape soda fragrance. If it's been resurrected, there will be a lot of happy curlies!

(You may find some older threads that mention "Ava's combo," which is Gel+Water with a little Tizz No Frizz, an excellent combination of products.)

sherry7899 01-08-2007 11:27 AM

Thanks, Suzen! I will look for the thread.

Take care,
Sherry

hockeymomof3 01-08-2007 11:34 AM

The Gel+Water is now the "Sun Touched Shine Enhancing Gel" according to the aussie website...it will be interesting to see how it is.

Bliss 01-08-2007 11:38 AM

If you go to the Aussie site it looks like they are bringing out a new version of the gel+water (Now called sun-touched shine-shine enhancing gel)
