Default Ah! Is there anything I can do?

So, I have put my hair through a lot. After lots of dying my hair is starting to lose its curl. I usually have semi-tight ringlets but now it's so damaged that some of my hair is straightish, while the roots (since recently I've been trying to lay off any damage) stay really curly. Is there anything I can do to make it more curly? It's also been thinning, especially since I tried this perfect blowdry stuff from garnier (horrible idea). Argh this is ESPECIALLY frusterating since I've been trying to grow it out for the last four years! any advice is really appreciated!

Have you read about CG on this site? Thats a good start - its all about getting back to healthy hair and bringing your curls back to life.

I would suggest you do some reading up about that - there's a ton of information here and its a long process but worth it.

Also just as a general rule of thumb, you want to start doing some major deep conditioning - whether you go CG (and give up shampoo) or not. And hunt around for a gentler shampoo as well. Good luck.
