Anyone? Sorry if I seem impatient, I want to do this as soon as possible. The post is taking longer than I thought it would, haha.

I have dyed red hair and blonde brows. I like BE powder in Strawberry Blonde. Good compromise. Or, Sometimes I get them dyed but it doesn't last long.

How long do I allow it to dye release? Is 4-5 hours okay? Or less?

I've never had to wait very long for dye release, no matter what brand of henna I used. At first I would slap it right on and sleep with it overnight, now I mix with chamomile tea, while warm but not boiling, and sometimes I make my gloss with honey and yogurt-works better than conditioner for me, I let it sit for just a few hours, and only leave it on about 3 hours. Good luck with your testing. Looking forward to your end results!

I started a new album on my fotki with hair sample pictures. I only have one after one hour thus far. I'll add another soon.

I would mix it all. Use what you want for the samples, throw the rest on the fr eezer to stop dye release and wait til your samples are done. The frozen henna can be

rthawed in a bowl of warm water in about half hour when you want to use it.what those in out doesn't really have any affect on what color you get, it affects the dye release time. Lemon is drying and takes the longest to release. Tea releases faster, up to 2 to 4 hours. I have done henna for 3 years. I say at least 4 hours for color.

I actually never went ronald mcdonalds color on my light brown hair. But when i bleached it blond and then hennaed I did. You ned to make sure it is body quality.

Wow, you finally did it - Looks good! Very similar to the earlier sample picture.

Sorry, I've been totally away from computers for several days when you were freaking out over your samples, LOL. Looks like you ultimately managed just fine.

Was the process about as you expected? You planned for it as well as anyone could.

Curly Girl Fla, gonna try honey and yogurt for my next gloss since you like it better than conditioner. Anything in particular I need to know about doing it?

Thanks! It's a little brighter than the picture shows, to be honest. But I love it. I just don't recognize myself...
And the process what pretty much how I expected, there wasn't as much dripping as I expected though. And getting it all out took far more effort than I had bargained for, haha.

Yeah, that is about the hardest part. And even when you think you've gotten it all, you continue to get green under your nails for days and days afterward if you scratch your noggin!
