Default New color and cut. :)

Hi all,

I had let my roots grow out for about six months to see if I was going grey yet. There wasn't much grey there, but, my roots have darkened out with age as is typical in the blonde family.

So, I went with a darker red with some brown in it.

Also, all of my layers had grown out. This made my hair too hard to deal with. I was getting more and more tangly, and I was having a hard time getting multiple day hair.

I also had a big flat spot at my crown that I was hating.

So, I got some more layers. What a relief. I have fewer tangles, and I can get multiple day hair again. What a relief.

Here are phone pics. I hope to get some real pics this weekend.

Thumbs up

I love it! I really like the new color, I think it suits your skintone even better! Warms you up a bit.

We need pics of the back to when you take the real ones. I know your hair appears much shorter from the front than it truly is. And then we can see those new layers.

Thanks, ladies.

CurliLocks, I think this does suit my skin tone pretty well. I forgot that changing color with age can be a good thing.

I'll work on some back pics too!

rcc, I don't mean this in a girl crush kind of way, but you have the kind of face that belongs in a 19th century painting.

And that's a very good thing.

Rcc it looks fantastic!! I really love the color too. It's funny I never would have thought you should change your color because it looked so good but I really love this new color.

I think that I may have to stop opening your posts with pics because your hair causes me to covet. GORGEOUS. Oh, and the color is so warm and rich. Actually it is just perfect with your skin, which is also stunning. Simply put-fabulous choices, the cut and the color.

Ninja, funny you should say that. I have mild rosacea and am prone to flushing in the summer, sort of like the red you see on Prince Harry sometimes. But, in the Regency Era, that red look was considered an attractive sign of health and vigor. I would get wistful when I'd see a woman with rosacea on a Jane Austen book cover. Today that redness is something to cover. Odd how that works.

JAJC, I see covet worthy hair from everyone here. Funny how that works too. I like to look at hair that sits in a different way than mine ever would and enjoy how it looks on that person.

I LOVE THE NEW COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, that does amazing things to your skin tone. Warmer and nicer. I really , really think this is your color! Like the cut, too.

My hubby has rosacea.Always has since I met him in 82. I found his "blushing" cheeks adorable. Still do, though we do use redness relief products and he avoids caffeine and spicy foods, orange juice, and he's never touched alcohol, so no problem with that. We don't want him to end up with complications from not taking care of it. But on his pale German/Hungarian/Irish complexion, the rosacea is actually very endearing. Like a shy boy's blush. I find it cute. But it's much lighter flush these days with the good skin products, not the full-on superpink of before.

I have redness issues from eczema and use the yellow powder from Clinique to minimize it. It's better since I ditched citrus and grains/gluten.

But, really, that color is amazing on you!

RCC, your new cut and color are truly stunning on you. I, too, love to look at pictures of people's hair, and see how color and cuts that would look awful on me look fabulous on them. Congrats on your new look!

Absolutely beautiful! I agree with those who commented on the color complementing your skin color. You look totally natural in that color. I also have rosacea...a pity the look is not currently in style!
