Default What you do when you don't have products in hair?

By the title, lets say you had to evacuate and you couldn't bring any of your hair products, because you were rushed or you didn't have time.
You can only had shampoo and conditioner that the hotel/motel gives you or a cheap brand that you never heard of. When you leave the shower, how is your hair? How would you try to make it look good, without adding products in your hair?

*products like gel, mousse, hairspray, oils, etc.

Because I was in that situation before. Had to evacuate and the only things I brought with me were some clothes, because I didn't expect to be gone for more than a week. (I actually never came back, lols.)
My only routine was wash, sometimes condition, dry and then put it up in a ponytail.
And other times, there was no dry towels, so I ended up just squeezing as much water out as I can, and then let it air dry.

I'd use a little of the poo, a lot of the rinse out, and then I'd use some of the rinse out as leave in conditioner and (if they offer a diffuser), diffuse dry. If only a cheap little hotel blow dryer, I'd blow dry it partway dry, pineaple my hair and let it finish drying.

If there's no blow-dryer, I'd just let it air dry and go upside down and shake it from time to time to keep it from being utterly flat.

I used to have natural hair in the late 70s and early 80s and all I used was cheap sulfate shampoos and rinse outs from the drugstore (we were poor, too poor for fancy stuff), and I let my hair air dry and shook it out upside down with my fingers. Hair used to look acceptable to nice. If I had to, I'd go back to that very method.

I guess my only option would be to scrunch some conditioner into my hair after I have squeezed as much water out as I could and then just scrunch my hair as much as I could to encourage curl formation.

This has me thinking about adding some hair products to my emergency/evacuation kit. I made one a few months ago because I live in San Francisco and the threat of earthquakes is high. Also after what happened in Japan, and the threat of tsunami here (which was nothing more than a strange wave in San Francisco Bay and some damage in Santa Cruz) everyone got panicked and I thought I really needed to prepare my apartment and car for disaster.

I would poo & condition, then use a little more conditioner as a leave-in. Then I'd part the top of my hair on the side, and the back of my hair down the middle, and arrange hair into two large low-slung braids, one on each side, tied on the bottom with rubber bands. I would then either leave the braids down or pull them around and pin them to the back of my head in a hair clip.

This is a technique I usually do with CJ CCCC lite when I'm running late in the morning and want to pin my hair up for work and don't have time to fuss with it. Once it's done, I pull a few pieces of side-swept bangs down in front so the style doesn't look too severe.

Then if I'm relaxing later I can just take down the clip and let the braids hang loose for a youthful/cowgirl look. I always style my hair in low-slung braids on days I go cross-country skiing, because it enables me to wear a hat that covers my ears without making my hair messy.

A cheap conditioner wouldn't work as well as CCCC lite for this purpose, but since hair would be tied in the braids, even if it was a bit frizzy it wouldn't stand out as much. If there were a few frizzies remaining on the top of my head, I'd probably smooth them down with my hands after applying hand lotion.

I'd wash with a little shampoo and then conditioner, let the conditioner sit for 5 minutes under a shower cap, rinse, comb with a wide tooth comb if they give me one but if not use my fingers the best I can, soak my hair again, then put in two braids while wet.

First I rarely use poo.

I'd cowash with the cheap conditioner and ask if they have lotion.

I'd try the lotion, some water, and a little conditioner. And hope when it dries the lotion will not be white on the hair.

I'm curly Asian too so if I don't add products AT ALL after shower then I don't even want to think about the damage that does. Just keep adding water throughout the day if that is possible or the lotion trick.

Wash with the poo, use the conditioner as a rinse-out and leave-in, then pull back into a ponytail while it's still wet. Don't even want to think about what my (usually straightened) fringe would look like!
