It looks like most of your products are CG already. The only things I don't know about are the Elucence and Redken, otherwise the rest look good.

If I were you, I'd just do a sulfate shampoo to start over (gets rid of those cones) and then continue using the products you currently use!

I don't really love the conditioners I use... well the giovanni tttt is good but the bottle is small and I use a lot of it! I'm dropping the shampoos and the only products I'm keeping are ss cej and fhg and kckt. I want to try a new conditioner and I use cj curl fix as a deep treat; not sure if that is cg friendly... but I wondering what condi and dt everyone loves to use with the cg method

Do you know your hair properties?? That's more helpful in making recommendations for you. Here's a thread to help: Texture, Porosity, and other Hair Type Madness Once you find your properties, you can look for folks with hair like yours and see what they use.

My hair is fine/low porosity. It's never met a protein it doesn't like. I use a lot of products with protein and PT at least weekly. I also use a lot of really rich products in minute amounts. It takes my hair a long time to soak them up, but I find that I don't need to DT since I started using them. I also found a lot of rinseouts weren't "moisturizing" enough for my hair. Mostly the products that folks use for detangling.

I currently don't have a good CG deep conditioning treatment yet but I'm thinking of trying Shea Moisutre. My regular condish is Kinky Curly Knot Today. I absolutely love it!!! My hair isn't really too dry so it's the perfect amount of moisture and it is really awesome at getting out the knots and tangles. I am mod CG so I use a low poo instead of co-washing but since I'm having scalp issues I"m using some Head and Shoulders as well as Avalon Organics Scalp Treatment (which IS CG). Once I get my scalp under control I'll be looking for either a new low poo or going back to the L'oreal Everpure Sulfate Free 'poo (this is a good choice if you color/dye your hair). Good luck!!!

Thanks everyone... My hair is a bit dry and my scalp gets very itchy after a day of not washing/ co washing! I am going to try that scalp tratment by avalon, but usually clarifying helps my scalp but it can dry the crap out of my hair... I think I need a wash/ conditoner that doesn't have crazy ingredients but can get my scalp clean.

The Avalon Organic Scalp Treatment is really good...I've noticed it doesn't dry my hair out at all. Plus, the ingredients are mostly or all organic. If you feel like it might dry you out, you can always mix a little with your co-wash or only use it once a week.

Curl Fix isn't a DT but a PT due to the protein in it. I used to use it as a PT but the smell drove me crazy! It is CG though.

A couple of DTs to try are CJ Curl Rehab (I use it as a rinse out too sometimes) and SS Deeply Decadent. Since you already love SS products I'd definitely check it out. A good drugstore conditioner is GVP conditioning balm, Sally's knockoff version of the Biolage condish. Very moisturizing!
