I'm having a hard time with this. Usually, I wash my hair at night, every 2 days. This is because on the 2nd day, my hair feels itchy and oily and it feels uncomfortable. It feels like I have build-up in my hair.
Also, how good is dry shampoo? Will it leave little white flakes in my hair? That's what is worrying for me.

Oh, and I finally told my boyfriend about my curly/wavy hair. (I made a thread about this a month ago?) He took it fairly well, and told me even though he liked pin straight hair, I look cute with wavy/curly hair. xD
I didn't doubt his love for me, but I was just scared how he would have reacted.

Anyways, yes! How do I achieve that 2nd+ day hair without the uncomfortable-ness?


Products I used on my hair:
Nexxus leave-on spray, Organix coconut milk serum, and (if it's humid) Garnier Fructis anti-frizz serum.
I mostly concentrate the products on my ends.

I have a question of my own that someone could help with.. How do you sleep on your hair and not have it all tangly and frizzy the next day?? That's my biggest problem

Omg, I DESPISE Organix products. It might just be me, but they make my hair sooooo dry and they leave so much build-up, and my hair is thick and coarse. So I imagine it could be a nightmare for fine hair. :P

I personally don't like dry shampoo, I think it just makes hair feel kinda gunky. But it's always worth a try! Our hair is different, so it may work for you.

Also, you're not CG, I'm assuming? You should definitely go CG -- I'm fairly sure two of your products have 'cones, and I know the Organiz stuff has Dimethicone. Cutting out cones could be all the difference you need, since you mention that your hair feels weighed down. Look into some nice, lighter products that are CG friendly, maybe that will help you!

As for it not being tangly and frizzy, hmm. Satin pillowcase, maybe? Or you could try pinappleing your hair.

My boyfriend is so adorable. Trying to tell him was the most awkward part, because he kept thinking I curled my hair with my flat iron, and I had to tell him, "I didn't do ANYTHING to my hair, except wash it last night." And he kept saying things like, "So... you slept on it and it made dents in your hair?"
And I said, "No, my hair made these dents naturally."
And he still looked confused. I was about to kick him. <3 XD

For me, I sleep with my hair in a ponytail, or some people sleep with a high ponytail. It doesn't really mess up my hair too much. cx

oh.hi.its.steph: They have cones, but it works well for me. D: But I am trying to save up money for products without cones, but I'm really broke right now.
And I need to save up for a blowdryer+diffuser. XD Since I only air dry my hair and that tales hours to dry.

I think the only conditioner I have without cones is VO5. I don't know if Garnier Fructis has cones, but I have those too.

Good luck! There are plenty of cheap starter products out there. I refuse to use anything that's over $10, so I totally can relate to being on a budget! You should look into Suave Naturals or Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition or Pure and Clean (those two are the only Garnier Fructis products without 'cones) for shampoo/conditioner. They're all around $3 or $4, can't beat that! I also love Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel -- $4 for a bottle and it lasts me a good 2 or 3 months!

Second day hair works great when you have a good hold gel on first day. Then on second day you just gently bring the curls back by scrunching. The longer the gel stays in the more second and even third day hair you will have.

It's only useful when you don't have time to do ur hair daily. Also, sometimes you can only attain certain consistencies on second or third day hair that can't be achieved on the first day.

You'll have to experiment with gels and your products. They all say non flake but it truly depends on the coproducts you will use with it. Be careful cause protein gels are great but they can build up and cause the protein to cake up.
