Using a diffuser

I've never used my hair dryer with a diffuser before lol. Any tips or pointers to keep my hair soft and frizzless?
Consistently awesome hair technique...

SMaster's technique I've never tried it but supposedly it works wonders for diffusing. If you don't have KCCC, I'm sure it'll work well with other cremes or gels. Generally with diffusing it seems to be best to diffuse partially, add more product, and then finish diffusing, and then add more product if necessary to smooth any remaining frizz.

Do not touch the hair with your hands at all while diffusing. Try holding the dryer with the diffuser not touching either. I usually hold the dryer in one spot for 30 seconds and move to the next section.

I use the Pixiecurl method. It's great for eliminating frizzies and it really helps define your curls especially if you use a gel. If you type in Pixiecurl method in the search box on this site, you will find many threads that tell you how to do it.

One thing I will advise is that you do not use high settings on your hair dryer. Cool to low heat settings are the best, IMO.

What I normally do is once I add gel and scrunch my hair with a T-shirt so my hair no longer drips water, I scrunch up a section of my hair in the diffuser, I turn the hair dryer on the low heat setting for about 45 seconds and then I do a cool shot for about ten seconds to cool the hair down. Then I turn off the hair dryer and repeat. This way is what works best for my hair.
