Default low poo/sulfate poo and my hair

UGH! Why does my hair have to be so difficult??? My hair is one that LOVES sulfates! And I don't want it to.
I have devacare low poo and it seemed to do just fine on the first use. Second use was just fair and third use was terrible. My hair was oily looking. So, I used my sulfate shampoo and my hair was happy.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to alternate between the two (every other day). Right now I"m not getting second day hair so I have to stick my head in the sink in the morning. IF I get lucky and do get it, that'll be a freebie day which I don't have to use any poo.
BUT.... I just had my hair colored so using the sulfate poo worries me. I am using a "safe for colored hair" poo made by biolage. How can they make it safe for colored hair if it has sulfates??
I'm really trying for second day hair and the only way I think I can get it is to use a better holding gel instead of just angell. I tried using arc angell but it really dried my hair out. Angell might be drying it out too but I'm not sure yet.
So, today I layered the angell with my salon care gel diffused dry and then scrunched in a bit of SIF while hair was still damp and continued to diffuse.

I have better luck with Jessicurls sulfate free shampoos over Deva Low Poo. I prefer Hair Cleansing Cream which is the gentler of the 2. The other is Gentle Lather Shampoo.

Low Poo left my hair feeling kind of filmy like it had a residue also. HCC does not do that, just leaves my hair feeling clean.

Hi,

Maybe try a sulfate free color safe shampoo? I bought Shikai color reflect from Ulta and it's very gentle and safe for color treated hair. It's also cheap-seven dollars for a tube.

hmm.. I don't think we have an ulta here. I wonder where else? Would Sally's carry it?

Hi,

Sorry, but Sally's doesn't carry Shikai products. Do you have the grocery store Wegmans or a Whole Foods near you? They both carry Shikai.

Take care,
Sherry
