I like the John Masters Hair Texturizer, but it's VERY EXPENSIVE for this full-time grad student! ($20 for 2 oz.) It smells good and it feels nice (doesn't make the hair greasy) and I like the ingredients (CG friendly). I don't want want any wax or petroleum based products....
Classic 4a/b, fine, dense, normal to dry, low porosity
That is quite expensive. Have you tried Jane Carter (available at Whole Foods), pure coconut oil, Blended Cutie Soft Curls & Swirts, Organika Whipped hair butter (my current fave) or Curls Euphoria Elixir?
I use Shea Butter as a Pomade. Works really well. Mine is pure Shea Butter. It is kinda hard but I take some in my hand and rub it and it get really soft. Then I kinda scrunch it in. I have noticed it takes very little for me to work well otherwise it feels producty, but my hair takes very little product in general.
