Default How did this happen?

So I went to a place called Body Blitz today. A hydro spa- you start in a salt pool, move to the steam room, go in the cold pool.. you get the idea. I had already done my hair that morning-was okay. I decided I would wash, condition, and put the gel in my hair that is provided. You know, the shampoo that is in a plastic cannister stuck on the wall, the unknown hair gel in the vanity room. My hair looks amazing. My friends I went with were saying how great my hair looked! I think I want to go there everyday to do my hair!!

I'd guess it is the combination of the salt and the humidity. Salt is curl enhancing, but drying for some (like me). You can start experimenting with epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) and see how it goes. You can add it to FSG, add some to a refresher spray, make a hair rinse, etc.

I guess I wasn't very clear. I never dunked my head in the waters, and I washed my already washed hair with their unknown products. I was amazed with the results because I have no clue what was in the shampoo, conditioner and gel. But I do like your Idea of the salt spray as my hair does respond well to it, and humidity. How do I bottle that? lol

You can't bottle humidity, but you can try using more products with humectants. Some people can use humectants in all dew points and others have to avoid them in high and low dew points. It is worth experimenting. I know some people mix vegetable glycerin and water in a refresher spray.

When I use products with glycerin my hair grows in volume. Needless to say, I stay away from glycerin as I live in a very humid state.

What products do you use? I live in a humid place too and I think my hair might not like glycerin?

Here is what I use but still on lookout:

Shampoo: Curl Junkie Daily Fix Cleansing Conditioner, VO5 conditioner (any I can find), Giovanni 50-50 (sometimes as it has glycerin)
Rinse out conditioner: GVP Conditioning Balm (from Sally's)
Leave in conditioner: Kinky Curly Knot Today
Styling: Kinky Curly Curling Custard, Flaxseed gel
Deep Conditioning: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab

I have to stay away from humectants and protein.
