My thick curly hair

I have the absolute thickest hair! I honestly have never met anyone with thicker hair. Since its curly it gets very poofy, and i hate that! It's also very hard when i try to straighten it, because it takes 2 and a half hours! Does anyone else have similar problems, and what do you do to straighten it faster!?

I have thick hair too, and sometimes, I hate it, other times I love it.

How do you straighten your hair?
And what products do you use when you leave your hair curly?

That being said ONCE it's done it's one of the most beautiful heads of hair I've ever seen.

I've done her hair before but I don't anymore because it takes up my whole day. What she does is wash, condition and oil it then blows it out and braids it up and goes to sleep. This takes about 2 hours. Then the next morning she lightly presses it and flat irons it this takes hours. She doesn't wear a relaxer. Honestly in her case I think she should it doesn't damage her hair and I do think hours to do your hair is just too much.

Whenever I straighten my hair, which is NEVER anymore..ugh..but when I do, I section, add a teeny bit of hair serum (less then a dime) and brush each section as I go, just the smallest things really cut time down for me and also making sure you have a really good straightener can cut the time down ALOT..I have extremely thick hair as well and usually it takes me about an hour or an hour and a half to straighten, I guess because I've gotten in a routine and straightened my hair soo much (yikes) that I can do it in a limited amount of time..just put yourself in a routine and eventually you'll cut the clock down..I gave up on straightening a few weeks ago..my poor head just couldn't take it anymore..good luck though, I know really thick hair can be a pain.
