Default Curly Hair Gels!

Hello!

This is my first post on Naturally Curly - I just turned 20 years old and I'm planning on beginning to transition from my relaxed hair to my natural hair. I have NO IDEA what my natural hair will look like and I'm excited to see what the end result will be like! (...in 2 years or so...) Haha. Anyways, I bought two gels today and I wasn't sure if they are CG. The first is called Quantum Micro-V FIX Gel:

Water (aqua), alcohol denat., triethanolamine, PVP, Carbomer, hydrolized silk, hydrolized soy protein, keratin amino acids, sodium chloride, citric acid, ascorbic acid, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, polyquaternium-10, benzophenone-4, tetrasodium EDTA,DMDM Hydantoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

The second is called Joico Joigel Medium Styling Gel:

Water, polysorbate 20, triethanolamine, hydrolized keratin, cocodimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed keratin, yeast extract, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, panthenol, tetrasodium EDTA, benzophenone-4, ampacrylates/allyl methacrylate copolymer, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, imidazolikinyl urea, benzyl benzoate, hexyl cinnamal, limonene, fragrance, red 33, blue 1

They were $14 Canadian so they were expensive! PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE OKAY...PLEEASE.

On the first one, the second ingredient (alcohol denat) is not really CG, as it is a drying alcohol. Over time this can wreak havoc on your hair.

The joico gel looks fine.

Try La Looks Hair Gel Sports and Ecostyler Olive Oil or Argan Oil versions.

These are inexpensive gels that work great.

I live in Edmonton, AB Canada and I've heard great things online about LA Looks Hair Gel - I've looked around and it doesn't seem to be in any store that I'm aware of!! I've searched everywhere!

Is the Ecostyle Olive Oil at Sally's Beauty Supply? And how much is it?
