side swept bangs with a middle part?
Can this be done? I have been thinking of cutting some bangs, nothing short that I have to straighten but just something that falls kinda in my face and I like the look of the side swept ones, but I part my hair down the middle, always. My hair doesnt part on the side at all, the curls dont fall right, I dont know...it just doesnt work.
So can I have bangs with a middle part? |
Yeah, I don't see why not. Just start the middle part behind the bangs.
|
How can they be side-swept if they start in the middle though? Maybe I just can't picture it correctly, but I thought side-swept bangs would need to start on the side, in order to "sweep" to the other side? Does that make sense?

I think that would be ok.
Rheanna, she means if she had side swept bags, with a middle part behind them. |

so you think I could just kinda sweep them across my forehead but still have a middle part? And it would look normal? |

I guess it depends on your forehead shape and size maybe? I have a somewhat "short" forehead and for ME, I think it would look as though I wrapped my hair around my face! I can't picture it looking normal because I keep picturing it on ME. I would probably be wary of doing it, in all honesty. How would you keep from having to straighten them? I don't mean to be a downer in the least, I'm just giving my honest opinion. I love sideswept bangs but also usually wear my hair parted in the middle or very close. I also don't like to have to straighten anything and I think side-swept bangs look best if they are straighter. Maybe someone else can be more help though (and more positive! ;) :D) because like you, I haven't had bangs since middle school. |
Yes.
I don't know where the others are coming from when they say it can't be done. I'm not certain, but I don't think everyone with side swept bangs has a side part. I'm pretty sure that I've seen parts everywhere with side swept bangs. If the middle part bothers you, you can connect the part of the bangs at a diagonal or at some set of angles to your main part. Haven't you seen those people with just the front parted to the side? They're all over tv and in real life. |
I do it now! I like a sideswept front but if I sweep all my hair to the side down tha tsame parting, I have way more hair on one side of my head than the otehr! I didnt even cut it like that, i just pull over the front section to the side then part the rest down the middle. It works and is easy! you can have your parting changing directions all the way down your head if you want

I don't have bangs, but I agree you can have a center part and sideswept bangs in front of that! ________ EASYVAPE |
What you can do to make it less obvious is do a zig zag part. What I did was make the part for my bangs and then just take small sections behind that and flip one going one direction and one going the other direction all the way to the back of my head. You can do it with a comb too but I could never quite master that so I just do it with my fingers. My part is a little more to the side now because my hair lays better that way, but I still do the same part. It's also good for hiding regrowth if you color.

I just got side-swept bangs cut less than a week ago, so I'm still playing with them. I like them so far, and I sometimes do a middle part behind them, so it's totally possible. |

That's how my hair used to be until I gave into my cowlick and parted on the side. |

I haven't found anyone yet. :(
I went to the salon at Wal-Mart for a trim the other day and was absolutely terrified, but my hair was desperate. For any kind of styling I still go back home which is about 4 hours away in southern Missouri. |

She didn't do too bad considering how bad her hair looked! My husband went with me and stared at everything little thing she did to make sure she didn't pull my hair to tight and didn't take off too much.
I almost fell sorry for her! |

I dont really part my hair either, I do the flip and scrunch thing and see where it lies. Ive tried parting on the side just to switch things up but it just didnt look right, one side was alot bigger :) Do you think it will take training for my hair to fall to the side like that, or will the cut itself kinda force it over... |
