Curl Keeper - under, over, or alone?

I've been experimenting with CHS Curl Keeper and it seems to be working well as something that eliminates frizz without making hair look wet/hard/sticky. I've tried it alone and over products, but not under products. I've read on here that some girls use it underneath other products as part of their routine. Trying to figure out what works best. How do you use it and what works for you? Also, what do you make of the label that says "don't touch your hair until Curl Keeper starts to work" -- how am I supposed to know when that is?

So far for me:
alone: keeps away frizz if I use ALOT, but doesn't provide much style
over: prevents frizz, particularly after being exposed to wind, but whether my hair comes out hard/sticky seems to depend on which product I am using it over
under: ??
I would use it under a gel so my curls wouldn't fall out. I would rake a generous amount through my hair, scrunch in gel, and then either airdry or diffuse.

And you should wait long enough for the hair to get crunchy before touching. I would wait til it's dry, then scrunch out the crunch. voila!

I use it almost the same as Mountaincurl, only I let the CK air dry a bit before adding gel; it seems to help my curls set up before giving them some hold with the gel. Experiment about and see what works best for you. HTH!

I apply about a nickel amount of A|G re:coil to hair I've scrunched the excess water out of with my bare hands, skimming it over those areas which aren't as curly first, and squish it in well. Then I take a large palmful of Curl Keeper, divide it between my hands, run them over my hair, and squish until I'm certain that all my hair is saturated.

I do the rest of my after shower stuff, then I take a smooth surfaced towel, and scrunch my hair. Most of the time, I go to bed right after this, with a towel over my pillow. In the morning, I wake up with what a friend calls "magic hair."

No gel, nothing but re:coil then CK.

Morgan, do you use any leave-in, or *just* A/G and CK?

I have been putting CK under everything, including my leave-in. It works pretty well, but I think I'll try it before my gel

I use it under but I have a weak wave/curl pattern. I sometimes use a leave-in first and sometimes do not. I layer gel over CK. Oddly, it curls up my hair. I do not have frizz (again, loose, lazy waves) so for me, it acts more like a curl cream.

Before I started following the new CG, I used a leave in. Now I do the sprinkle rinse (I throw two handsful of water at my head, and call it quits, so it's pretty much all leave in.

I could not get CK to work for me no matter how many ways I tried it. Didn't seem to make a difference in how my hair ended up with it vs. without it.
