my dryer died....do I need a tourmaline pricey one or...

just a cheapo one?

I usually let my hair air dry but do need a dryer if I have to go out (my hair takes hours to dry on its own) and dont want wet hair or if I want more volume. Does the tourmaline make a difference if you are diffusing (vs regular drying/straightening)

thanks

My stylist, who is a wizard at diffusing, swears by ionic dryers.

They don't have to be expensive. I have a Vidal Sassoon dryer with a diffuser that was under $25, and it has tourmaline ions and is ceramic.

so I saw a revlon one and a conair one today at walmart....think those would be ok? (said ionic and tourmaline on them)

I tried a Conair one and had to return it, because the diffuser blew my hair around too much. Looking at the diffuser, it looked like the holes were large. My theory is that smaller holes diffuse the air better. Don't know about the Revlon ones.

I went to Ulta because they have all their dryers plugged in and you can turn them on and try them out.
