Hello and Happy New Year.

I just went to the rest room at work and as I looked at myself in the mirror while washing my hands, I looked like a used q-tip! My hair looks just like a triple size cotton ball.

It made me realize why I got a relaxer in the first place at age 15. Now don't get me wrong. I have been natural now for about 4 or 5 years (I am aged 52) and would never go back! But today I remembered why my girlfriend used to always call me "FLUFF" when it rained.

I know lots of you have second and third day regimens where you spray you hair with water or water & glycerine. But whenever I spray my hair with water I get fuzz and/or fluff. Today it has been raining on and off all day so hence my fluffy puffy look. I touched my hair and it is soft, soft, soft as a cotton ball too. Feels great, but not a great look IMHO.

I though I might ask here for suggestions, products, etc. to get rid of the fluff, since I bet I am not alone is this dilemma. I just want curls, not fluff, on rainy days.

I am a 3B/3C. on the curly girl regime. I know cones would do the trick but I really didn't want to go back to cones, because then I'd be stuck with the buildup and no way to get rid of it but those drying sulfates.

Not to make you shell out more cash for a product, but have you tried Devacurl Set It Free? Seems like that could be a good choice for what you need.

No I am not familiar with that product - but I will do a search on it hare at the forum and see what it is all about. Thanks for the reply and the suggestion.
