Default question about applying gel

Hi,

I apply gel upside down. But I've noticed that I'm not getting good curl formation near my scalp and on my canopy. Do you usually apply upside, then flip right side up and apply some more gel to your canopy? I"m afraid of putting in too much and ending up with a sticky mess.

Thanks-
Sherry

I apply after the shower on dripping wet hair upside down, then plop, I take the T-shirt out upside down also, this gives me lift at the scalp and it is where my curls start. If I don't plop then my hair it straight at the root and flat. I also fluff my hair after it dries at the roots and that helps too, and it takes out some of the crunch.

That's what I do. I use only a tiny bit on my canopy after flipping though.

I do the opposite. I've tried putting gel in upside down and each time I get crappy results. I apply right side up by scrunching it in all over. Starting at the bottom and working upwards.

I have the same problem. After trying it a few times, I came to the conclusion that applying product upside down just doesn't work for me.
