Help! My hair is severely dry!

I have 3c/4a hair and I was tired of taking care of it everyday so I put in a curly weave a month ago (sew-in) and I just took out the weave recently. I combed out my hair and it was extremely brittle and tough. When I washed my hair, I thought the moisture returned, but when it dried, it was SEVERELY dry and it felt super tight. My curls are super tiny and tight and I have to comb my hair everyday because the roots are so tight.
My hair has NEVER been this dry. I tried the mayonnaise hair treatment, it still dried tough. I use alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner and I have just started using fx fx wild harvest hair curls up styling mousse (paraben free, sulfate free, sodium free). NOTHING has worked. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I let my hair air-dry? Please help!
When I took out my last sew in my hair was very dry. I am 3c also. I had to do a hot oil treatment with coconut oil for about an hour. Then washed and conditioned my hair. I use the one n only argan oil brand from sallys. For styling I used the curl cream by the same brand and put argan oil on the ends n topped it with Eco style gel. My hair feels so much better. Just use very moisturizing products and oils and it should get better. I hope this helped you :-)

Try a protein treatment? Usually finer hair likes protein and it moisturizes really well

I'm full Chinese and I never knew how to control my unruly hair until now! I <3 this website oh so very much.
Keeping a hair care routine and short hairstyles during summer does help to prevent novice effects of sunlight. Wash your hair with conditioner only. This will help prevent the stripping out of all the oil from your hair, which although sounding grim, will make your hair much stronger.
