Exclamation Desperate for help!!!

Good morning everyone, I am literally in tears over my hair. Let me tell you about what is going on. I am half Irish and half Carpathian. I have 3C hair. It is dry, frizzy, and BIG. My stylest always say I have the most hair of any person's hair they have ever cut. I have been doing the curly girl method for about 3 years now and it has helped. But, I just can't take my hair any more. There is just too much of it. Every day when I get up, even though I use a satin pillow case, there are knots in it so bad that it is basically dreading on its own. I have been trying to grow it out for years but instead of growing down it grows out (very bushy).
I am on the edge of sanity and can't stand it any more. Here are my questions:
1) does anyone else have hair like this and how have you managed it?
2)I am kinda over weight but I am thinking about I should just cut it into a bob to deal with it. Even though I have been growing it for years now it is just about shoulder length when dry. Do you think cutting it is the best solution?
3)I am also considering getting the brazillian blowout. My thought is that if it were straighter it would be more managable. Has anyone does this and is it worth it?
4) lastly, has anyone ever gotten their hair cut at ULTA? They were explaining to me the other day that they have a new hair cutting technique for curly hair.......but we have all heard that one before. So, if you have had a good/bad experience there can you please share.

Thanks for listening and your help in advcance.
Sincerely,
Dolly

Google ouidad and read about the hair cut they do. They have a technique that removes bulk from your hair so its not bushy. I like big hair so I would never try it, but I have seen someone get it done and her hair looked great. Then you can see if ultas cut is similar to that. Hope that helps.

heres a few tips ive learned from my own mistakes and research:
A) do go to the hair dresser and get a TRIM, maybe 1 inch off
B) use a nice oil, like argan oil, that stuff really is amazing, apply it after your shower before you go to bed, in the morning when you wake up and through out the day
C) when you sleep tie your hair up in a LOOSE pony tail
D) NEVER brush your hair, use a large comb to detangle when its still wet
E) DO NOT straighten it
i hope that this does help a lil bit..... i manage my hair like that, it is alot of work and might take a few weeks before your really do see results but it be worth it good luck

maybe also trying some heavier products may help weight your hair down a bit and define it more - maybe try some butters (you may have to work out the amount to use as too much may make your hair greasy looking - but start with small amount and then work from there) HTH

try putting it in a braid before you sleep i notice it helps flatten the bulk so that might help and also try a leave in/ some type o creme to weight it down good luck

MAybe some deep conditioning treatments will help. I agree with the other ladies regarding using products that will weigh your hair down more. Please don't straighten it!
