Hair type and curl routine
I would love to hear your hair type and routine, especially with a pic! I just started with CG and I find myself scouring the boards for people with similar hair and then further looking for their routine.
I'll go first. I think I'm a 3a. My hair is very thick and I have a lot of it- although I'm still growing a lot back after my last pregnancy. I'm using Tresseme Naturals as a co-wash, Curls Coconut Curlada Conditioner as a rinse out and a little as a leave in, then scrunch in the Curls Goddess gel. I've tried the super soaker method once and I liked it and plan to try it again, but also want to try all of the other great ideas on here too!
Sorry for the creepy no-face!

I'm a 2b-2c-3a... kinda depends on the day. I'm modified CG... and here's my routine::
I am no-poo... but I don't do the co-wash. After my hair is soaking wet I use whatever conditioner is in the shower, currently Pantene (which I don't like) I load my hair with conditioner. Then I let it set for a little while, flip my head upside down and start rinsing, while I'm rinsing I finger comb and then when I get out I put my hair in a towel for about 5 minutes and then I take it out. I just discovered that I can just put watered down conditioner in my hair in place of products, so I've been experimenting with that. Or then just leave my hair naked.. Then I scrunch... upside down, on the side, however I can. To make it look krazy-kurly! and then I let it air dry.. for about 2 hours.

I'm not CG or modified CG. I do use a shampoo along with a conditioner but neither one contains sulfates or cones. My hair is both 3a and 3b.
First I wash my hair with the shampoo and once that's rinsed out, I add the conditioner and let it sit for about five minutes, give or take. Then I comb out any tangles and then rinse my hair with cold water. I'll probably leave some of the conditioner in during the winter months.
When the conditioner is rinsed out, I comb my hair again and then I thoroughly cover my hair with my AVJ, epsom salt and water spray(my hair loves aloe!) and after that's done, I put FSG all through my hair. Then I scrunch with my hands and then again with a T-shirt to get rid of a bit of extra water before plopping for about 25 minutes. When I take the T-shirt off of my hair, I place clips at the crown to give my hair a bit of volume and then I let the rest air dry.
It may sound like a lot but it really isn't. The picture I attached was taken today a few hours after I washed it so it was still a bit damp. Sorry about it being blurry but you can still see my hair okay.

My pictures are in my signature.
As far as routine: Most days I wet my hair and co-wash. Then I rinse it out and add my RO/LI which right now is GVP CB but will soon be GN Triple Nutrition condition (I think that's right, I too lazy to go look).
Then I either run a wide tooth comb through my hair or use my faux Denman brush. Then I either flip my hair over my head and scrunch water into it to "rinse" or just cup my hair and rinse it in the water flow. I usually leave about 30-10% of the conditioner in my hair. This is typically the last thing I do in the shower, so I grab my towel and dry off, leaving my hair dripping.
With my hair flipper over my head I scrunch in a quarter sized amount of either AG re:coil or CJ CCCC. Then I scrunch in about a handful (or more) of Eco Styler Crystal gel. My flour sack towel comes next, I gently scrunch out as much water as I can. Some times I plop, but not often.
I flip my hair and head right side up, and shake my hair into place. During the week when I work, I diffuse briefly. By the time I get to the office (an hour and half from when I diffused) I use a paper towel to SOTC. My hair looks pretty good from all of this!!
Thats my typically weekday routine. Some days I am lucky enough to just spray my hair with a spray bottle and add more product for second day hair. One the weekends I typically use a low poo and just throw whatever product I feel like in my hair.

I think I'm 2c/3a? On a full-routine day I will wash w/ sulfate free poo & rinse upside down. I scrunch w/ my hands then while still in shower, still upside down i will smooth, rake & squish my leave-in into my hair (about a quarter size). Then I do the same thing w/ my curling custard. Then I take my microfiber towel & scrunch then loosely turbon it up while I get out of the shower, do my makeup, etc. Upside down I take out the towel and put another pea size curling custard in & scrunch w/ towel again, flip up and shake hair into place...scrunching w/ the towel & then fixing peices gently w/ my fingers. I diffuse IMMEDIATELY to encourage curl & discourage the dreaded noodely look ha ha

I thought that rinsing the conditioner out is the same as co-washing.

Another natural redhead! The pic of your hair in your profile looks great! I love tight curls. You should post a picture in this thread to show it off. Both the curls and the hair color!

3b/a mix. Medium-coarse and porous.
Here's my summer routine
Wash: Curl Junkie Daily Fix, Kinky Curly Come Clean, or a blob of the Daily Fix with a tiny dab of Come Clean mixed in. It depends on what my hair and scalp need.
Detangle. Kinky Curly Knot Today. I usually section my hair into four sections. Left and right, and then front and back of each side. If I have more tangles than normal, I split each section in half for a total of eight sections. I turn the water off when I do this. I finger detangle and finger comb. This detangles and gets rid of a bulk of the shed hairs.
Then I turn the water back on and rinse.
Condition:
If my hair feels fine after the detangling, I leave it at that. More often, I follow with another conditioner. In the summer, while dewpoints are up, I use Curl Junkie Repair Me. I need some protein in the summer. I leave this in while I wash the rest of me and then rinse.
Leave-in: Kinky Curly Knot Today
Seal: I had been sealing with mango oil, but my vendor no longer carries it. I just started using castor oil to seal and it works well. I use a nickel sized blob for each side of my head and also a bit more on my ends if needed.
Styler: Kinky Curly Curling Custard.
After each step of leave-in, seal, and styler, I rake, smooth, or brush the product in. I look for curls that have hairs tangled within the curls or hairs sticking out from the curl. I smooth those individual curls out and finger comb them as needed until they are smooth. This often leaves that curl straight, so I then re-scrunch that curl to get its shape back.
I have to do this after each step of the leave-in, seal, and styler portion. If I wait until the end, it just doesn't work for me.
I air dry. I sometimes use mini jaw clips at my roots for lift since my wet hair is heavy, which can flatten the roots.
After my hair is dry, I scrunch out any crunch with bare hands or Kinky Curly Glass Pomade.
I sleep in a sleep cap.
If all goes well, I can get 4-5 days out of this. But, I prefer to let it run for three days because going longer affects detangling.

RCC (^), I love your curls immensely. They're just GORGEOUS. And I think they look beautiful with the flower clips in back. <3
As for me... I change up my routine ALL. THE. TIME. I do have certain combos that seem to work well for me. But, my hair has different needs at different times. Sometimes it needs protein. And sometimes it needs moisture. So, my routine can change depending on that, the weather, and what I feel like using that day.
That all being said, I do have some things that I keep going back to:
(1) Washes: Curl Junkie Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat, or Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner
(2) Condish: Curl Junkie Smoothing Condish, Argan & Olive Oil Condish, Strengthening Condish or Giovanni 50/50 (every now and then) or Deva One Condition (rarely)
(3) Styling: Kinky Curly Curling Custard, Curl Junkie: Aloe Fix Lite, Curl Queen, Curls In A Bottle, CoffeeCoco Curl Creme (and soon to be: Aloe Fix, as well), oh, and my beloved Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Jelly
CJ is my #1 favorite of ALL lines. Can you tell? LOL!
I only recently started plopping a little here and there. But, other than that, I don't use any specific method for styling. Sometimes I clip the crown because I don't get enough lift there. But, most of the time, I'm too lazy. LOL!
If you want pictures, I have hundreds. Just click on my Picasa link in my siggy.

Ah, the downside of the app. No siggies. Makes for ease of use, but still...
Thank you RacerWife!
