Curl Keeper - anyone use in the cold?

I have stopped using CK this winter so far, but am thinking I might want to try it again. While I think it is awesome for frizz, I did get some crunch from it, so I gave it up. I am considering it using it again and was wondering if anyone uses it year-round without feeling it is too much. Thanks.

I don't often use it in the summer but I do use it in the winter. I use gels in the summer and in the winter I use more creams. I'll put CK in then use a cream (usually Re:coil) over it. That's my favorite winter combo.

I haven't tried it in the summer. I tried it this winter a couple of times and hated it. I get crispy crunchy curls from it and the "wet" look. It didn't matter if I used alot or alittle. I'm hoping it works better this summer in humidity,

I've been using it so far in the winter this year with great results. The crunch isn't a problem as you can just scrunch it out and be left with soft curls. Good Luck!

I'll see if I can cut it out when it gets really cold here, but so far I haven't stopped using it. I've tried skipping it a few times since the weather changed, but I just don't get the definition and frizz control without it.

I use it all year and the colder / drier it is outside the more I use. I scrunch out the wet look and crunchies once my hair is dry and it stays frizz free all day! Been using this stuff for about five years now and won't be without it ...

I could scrunch all day and this wet crunchy look isn't going anywhere. I tried again today and i've been trying to scrunch it out since 8am and its still there. The crunch is gone a little bit but not enought and the wet look is still the same.

do you comb it through after you put it in? This helps me. Also I had to play wiht how much to use. YOu can also email Jonathan Torch and ask him for ideas. That was actually how I figured out what to do for my hair.

Yes, I tried combing it today - hair looked good, although I think I could have used more in my hair, I was afraid of crunch. I just ordered a liter on Curlmart, but a friend loaned me some of hers to hold me over until it arrives.

Are you waiting until it's completely dry before you scrunch out the crunch? (Totally totally dry?)

funny y'all should post about this....I had given up on it for a couple of weeks, and decided to pick it back up tomorrow to pair up with re:coil and either the 3 in 1 Mousse or BRHG. It's humid here nearly all year (houston) so I don't think it matters .... I hope it helps with the frizz issues I'm having..... they are BAD

It really is a great product - I just have to figure out how to get it to do its job without causing crunch.

Texas Mama is right - we'd had some humid days in the Houston area. I normally don't have to use Curl Keeper when it's cool but I've had to a few times because of the humidity. I always use it over a leave-in and under my styler de jour

Come summer it's a must, though!
