So discouraged-I've tried so may products and am unhappy

Hi all,
Well I've added 2 more products to the product graveyard. Some Ion curl creme from Sallys and Innersence curl control.. My husband said to me last night that I'll never be happy. I WAS somewhat happy with HE Set me up gel, but it was kinda sticky and I'd like my hair a bit more touchable (well hubby would, I don't really care). I also kinda liked Regis Curl Cream but it too stopped working after a while. I'm just really sick of buying and trying products that don't work for me, Maybe I should go back to Aura gel, I liked that the longest out of everything....who knows!

Have you tried the HE Totally Twisted or Body Envy? The TT has a softer hold. I used some over Re:coil today and had a really good hair day.

Graham Webb Making Waves also gives me a soft hold but it's more expensive (around $13.00 but it's a nice size tube).

If Aura works for you, go with it  .. it's so cheap!!

You know, I liked HE Set Me Up, too, but I LOVE BRHG. Both leave my hair "crunchy" but I use DevaCurl Set It Free over it and it takes the crunch completely out and leaves my hair ultrasoft without taking away the hold. Maybe you could try that?

Where can you buy BHRG? Is it sold in regular stores?

Thanks-
Sherry-sorry if this is a dumb question, but there are too many products to keep track of :D

Don't worry - we've all been there. One thing to do is to try putting them on differently - put on after plopping or on really wet hair or whatever. Or try different combinations of things you used to like. Also, I find I have to keep 2-3 in rotation since they are good for a week or so and then not so much. I use HE SMU. I find if it air drys, it is super crunchy. Diffusing helps to some extent.

I see BRHG everywhere, from salons, the beauty brand stores, and even the regular grocery stores. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding it! :)

I almost picked up the totally twisted line yesterday, Target's prices are amazing, but just couldn't get over the smell. Does it rinse out or does it linger?

BTW, I'm totally with you Krispy! I'm thinking about doing more straightening right now because I am so discouraged!

The fragrance of Totally Twisted gel is not strong in the hair and doesn't linger at all.

I am having a dumb moment. What does BRHG stand for?

lushaholic 01-10-2007 08:59 AM

BRHG - Biosilk Rock Hard Gel :)
