? About rinsing upside down

I've been reading that doing this will give roots some lift. In the shower you will most likely get water up your nose! So my question is could I get the same results by rinsing in the sink? Also, when you flip your hair right side up do you comb it or just let it fall how may?
2c w/ some 3a on the ends
Length - just below shoulders when wavy
texture - under layer fine, everything else medium
According to the articles of how to determen these:
Porosity- low
Density - medium

shampoo - clear scalp & hair therapy
rinse out - clear scalp & hair therapy
leave in - whatever rinse out I'm using at the time
gel - kccc
dt - aussie 3 min miracle

experimenting and open to suggestions!
haha, I never have gotten water up my nose... but anyhow. Yes, you could do it in the sink. And another key to it is finger combing it while it's upside down. When I get out of the shower I put my hair in a towel and then when I take it out I will very lightly finger comb the top so it doesn't look to crazy. But if you comb it all the way it will take all the volume right back out.
