Curl pattern jacked up??
Okay,so my curl pattern is not like other ppls curl patterns.I mean it don't even look like a curl lol but its not straight or wavy. It's just a ridiculously small curl .and idk if I should wait till it grows for it to become a regular looking curl or what

um i think you should style it as curly hair and experiment some curls get tighter with styling so it might get better

That could just be the way your hair is. Smaller curls, I mean. I don't think that means your pattern is messed up. Curls come in different sizes, and comparing your curl size to another's probably isn't effective.

I have a question about curl pattern. When I was younger I wore my hair wavy/curly, but at about 19 I bought into all things straight. I flat ironed my hair for over 10 years....what was I thinkin?!?!?! Anyway, I got tried of it. First off, my hair doesn't look good straight, second, I got sick of damaging it. I went back to my natural hair on Aug 19th 2011 after finding this WONDERFUL website. What i've noticed is this, my curl/wave pattern has been messed up due to all the flat ironing. Will my curl pattern come back?? Or do I need to cut it?? The damage seems to be mainly on the last 3 inches of my hair.

so you mean you have really tight curls? and they are small? that's not jacked up, it just means your hair has really small tight curls...

I believe if the ends are straight that's the already damaged part.....its up to u u can cut that part off or let it grow out n try to revive it.....
Over treat it more than the rest but remember hair growth is from the scalp so cutting it wouldn't b so bd.....
Hope i helped!

@ WaveyGirl...it sounds like you have heat damage and you ultimately have to cut off the damages hair. Even though products say they "repair" they don't...once you cut your damaged hair you will see the difference again...HTH
